EU is sactioned SWs by LA. If we dont go by EU then 90% of the stuff we go by cant be used.

Lucas changed it to make Obi-Wan appear stronger than he had in the novels. He seems to change a lot of things around. Like Obi-Wan had no clue that there were twins? Kinda weird since he watched Leia being born. In LoE which is a liscensed prequel novel it cleary states that Anakin had saved his life about 50 times and constantly rubbed it in. Well he saved Obi's life atleast 3 times in that novel alone.

No that line about saving Obi-Wan twice is in the film not the EU... Dont argue please... I will win.

If Vader was strong enough to overthrow the Emperor, he would have done it 20 years earlier... Instead he knew that he couldnt do it alone, he needed Luke to do it for him.

Someone wroted this on the 3SA and I kinda agree with him...

the way I see it is Darth vader becomes more powerfull than ever.....sure the duels in the OT were not as flamboyant as these new ones, but that is purely due to the constraints of film making at the time

in my opinion is that Darth Vader is wickedly powerful, which gives more credit to luke

also on a side comment...If the Sith are fueled by passion...& Luke uses the Passion for his sister to defeat vader

it shows a nice balance to the force, that Luke has embraced the full force and yet remains loyal to the Light side

Of course you will since you disregard facts.

You only know what can we watched on TV or in a movie. The rest of the SWs universe doesn't exist in your eyes.

It states in the RotS novel that Yoda knew he would lose against Sid and why. The sith have adapted and grew stronger through knowledge and experience. The jedi didn't. They have stayed the same for all of time. Look how they treated Anakin...like robots. They had no compassion for him and no caring either. He was treated poorly and he asked them for help a lot, and recieved none!

Even in LoE Anakin confides in Obi-wan and all Obi can say in return is to quote some stupid jedi proverb. Obi-wan thought to himself that he should be saying and doing more to help Anakin but he didnt know how...he was trained to be a jedi robot. That is why he says..."Anakin I have failed you" A lot of things from LoE are in this movie.

I never said she defeated him... I said she was just better in the duel than he was. She disarmed him twice.

Vader suit granted him tremendous strength and constitution. He was weaker than he would have been had finished his jedi training. He chose the fast btrack, but I cant blame he was treated as an outcast ever since he joined the order.

How could Luke be as powerful as Anakin...bloodlines become less potent as the line goes on. If Luke was so strong then how did Sidious defeat him and turn him to the darkside for a short time? It took Luke and Liea together to kill Palp once and for all!

PS : I would love to see Exar Kun or Marka Ragnos stomp a mud hole in Sidious's ass! Exar Kun could have defeated 5 yodas . The jedi sent their entire order to Yavin 4 to kill him...not just one jedi.
