First of all STARWARS ROCKS! O.K., I was wondering if there are any people who are French who helped to create Star Wars because I have to do a project on a French person and I wanted to do something to do with Star Wars. Please help.
George Lucas: Many thousands of people have helped me create Star Wars, but none of these people have been French. Most have originated from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom or Australia. I believe the fact that I don‘t speak French prevents me from hiring gifted people from France to work on the Star Wars films. I rarely visit France so I don‘t really ever have in contact with the French.
hmmmmm. I thought that in almost all european countries, you had to learn many languages, including english, french, spanish, and german.

First I'd like to say I am a HUGE fan of the original trilogy! I'm not as familiar with the newest trilogy, but I have seen them and did enjoy them. My husband and I just saw "Revenge of the Sith" and it answered LOTS of burning questions, but two still remain. First, in Return of the Jedi, Leia tells Luke Skywalker, when asked if she remembers her real mother: "Just a little. She died when I was very young."
Luke responds "I have no memory of my mother. I never knew her." Why would Leia have memories of Padme and Luke not have them? And who are Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru? It is said Luke will be taken to his family on Tatooine, but I got the impression that Anakin had no family except his mother. Did I miss something? (I'll bet I did because I don't think you did!) Thanks, Elaine
George Lucas: It‘s difficult to see this in Revenge of the Sith, but Padme makes a Force connection with Leia at the end of the film. It‘s brief but it happens. Luke never made this kind of connection to Padme. I can‘t explain why exactly. To keep from contradicting the old films, I needed for Padme to make a special bond with Leia.
Owen and Beru are Anakin‘s family by marriage. Cliegg Lars, the father of Owen, married Shmi Skywalker. This made Anakin and Owen step brothers. Consequently, Owen is Luke‘s step uncle. This may be a tenuous connection, but it is the closest family relation that Anakin appears to have.
force connection my ass

I love this one: Hello Mr. Lucas, I am from Mexico and I have always been a Stars Wars fan. Your work is truly a piece of art. I do have some questions: 1) The computer-animated series will be from the time before The Phantom Menace? 2) When do you think Shadow will be making Episodes 7 to 9? 3) Do you think you or another person from Lucasfilm will remake Episodes 4 to 6? (i.e.: based on the time frame in between Episode 3 and Episode 4). Obi-Wan should not be that old. Also when fighting Darth Vader one could expect more action between them just because they are the most powerful Jedi. Same in Episode 6 between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. Thank you for you time and congratulations on your success. George Lucas: Great questions. First let me say that I love vacationing in Mexico. The computer-animated TV show will be in the same vein as the shorts from the Cartoon Network. I expect it to be set during the Clone Wars. SuperShadow will be bringing Episode 7 to life by 2015. It just depends on his schedule. I have no plans to completely remake the old films. It’s a great idea obviously because the old films are so out of date as compared to the prequel trilogy. I’m too old to redo the old films. I will continue to tinker with them, but nothing major. It would be nice if we could make the old light-saber fights look more exciting. The prequel light-saber battles are much better than anything we see in the old films. I have the technology to change the old battles, but it would be prohibitively expensive.

well, unfortunately for me in my High School french classes, we learned that in le Lycee (french for high school) they learn a shit load of languages, really making america look like more of a ignorant ball of stupid.
i guess since suttle is from north carolina, a Bush stronghold( and about 90% redneck{anyone in N.carolina and is among the 10% that voted for Kerry, i don't mean you}) , that means that they would have no idea of what other cultures are like. (except passive neo-conservatism and raging neo-conservatism)

I think I am lucky. I sepak English, French, German and some Japanese. I have been to a lycee for some weeks and what they learned was reading and writing in English, but not speaking . OK enough of this. Back to our favorite jerk! Hello Mr. Lucas, congrats on all your work! I have become enlightened with the movies. I am planning to build a home when I grow up with Naboo architecture. I would love to work for Lucasfilm and carry it on forever. How can I get started? Thanks for your time. Octavio. George Lucas: If you’re serious about using the copyrighted designs for Naboo for your home, then you need to get a license agreement from Lucasfilm. You will be charged around $ 50,000 dollars which is well worth it.
I don‘t micromanage Lucasfilm so I have no idea what jobs are available at the company at the moment. All job openings are posted at Lucasfilm.com. If you want a job at ILM or LucasArts in particular, then please see their hiring web sites. I don‘t actually do the hiring at Lucasfilm so I can‘t tell you what the process will be like. We hire the best available people at the absolutely lowest wages possible.
My dream is that Lucasfilm will exist for many hundreds of years after my passing. Hopefully, my children will take over the running of Lucasfilm. It will certainly be theirs if they choose this route. Anyway, I have a lot of great people working at Lucasfilm so we are a rock solid company at least at this moment.

Hey George, great films. I have a few questions and comments. Where do Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn come from (that rhymes)? I think some of the lines in the prequel trilogy sound a bit off (no offence, there my fave films), like 'this weapon is your life' compared to 'my ally is the Force'. Also, I think you should sell light sabers like the props the actors use (that have blades permanently out), the toys look bad. Are there any plot mistakes you think were really big mistakes? Please don’t take any offence, there still the best films of all time, I hope you take some time to answer to a loyal fan. May the Force be with you.
George Lucas: I’ve never given Obi-Wan or Qui-Gon a home world officially. That’s not something I want to reveal at the moment.
I don’t have anything to do with the Star Wars toys and collectibles. Like I’ve said many times before, I don’t micro-manage every aspect of Star Wars. It would take 24 hours a day to personally oversee everything that goes on at Lucasfilm. I simply don’t have enough time to personally make a decision on what kind of light sabers they produce. I will pass you suggestion on to Lucas Licensing to see if they are interested.
I don’t want to seem harsh because I love all the fans, but it irritates me to no end for somebody to even hint that there are plot errors in the Star Wars films. This is the stupidest idea in the history of humanity. I don’t make those kinds of mistakes. I spend many hours making sure that everything in the scripts works with what has come before. The prequels are in 100 % sync with the old films. If you think you have found a mistake, then you’re wrong. Only idiots try to find errors in Star Wars. That’s all I have to say about this topic.
Oh...My...God. Only idiots try to find errors in Star Wars?
What an idiot... there's a new Lucas interview today...check it out.

I love this one You must make Episode 7, 8 and 9. George Lucas: SuperShadow is going to be in charge of the sequel trilogy. His genius will make the sequels the best Star Wars trilogy ever. I am so fortunate to have such a great friend who loves Star Wars more than me. Shadow is the future of Star Wars. He is the best thing to ever happen to me. does anyone believe this BS?!? Q: is calling SS a moron, not insulting other morons?

I can't believe it. I just can't. Oh wait, I can. Shadow's TRYING to make it sound like it's coming straight from Lucas's mouth instead of going along with what all the other sites are saying. Close...but no cigar SS
