Here's the thing: you have your opinion, and that's great. You can choose to listen to your opinion. But, if you want to listen to fact, the truth of the matter is that the films and George Lucas outweigh ANY other form of Star Wars that's not on screen or that comes out of Lucas' mouth.
"No ship that small has a cloaking device"
Obviously they did not de-advance in terms of technology, so that statement sticks. If Lucas wants to state otherwise, go for it. But, until then, no ship that small has a cloaking device.

Darth Maul ship boasted a state-of-the-art stygium crystal cloaking device which was very very rare. So Admiral Piett probably didn't think a ship that size could have that type of cloaking device.

Here, I got another. The amont of time in between the episodes 3 and 4 is about 20 years. How come it takes 20 years to make the first death star when the second, wich is even bigger, only takes about 2? BAC: Nineteen years 
To quote Lucas making a joke, "They had supply problems, labor disputes, and funding problems".
The real reason is that nothing like that had been done before. They had to take their time and make sure they knew what they were doing the first time. By the time they went to make the second one, they already knew what they were doing so they could do it faster. The first time for anything always takes longer than the second. That is why the first one took about nineteen and the second took about four. |

and the third one was never completed, and the Hutt DarkSaber project was alittle differant, same super cannon,, that took 5 years ;D
