Here Be Dragons

[Xais'fir]

~He felt her attempt to probe his mind the moment she did it, wincing at what he knew the unfortunate outcome would be. His armor protected him from many uses of the force, such as resistances to Force Push, etc. But more specifically to attempts to enter his mind, after all, what good was he to Lirr if his knowledge could be accertained by such means. When his armor felt the Force trying to enter his mind it immediately sends out a cry, a backlash along the Force that would very likely hurt like hell, sheilding his mind from being invaded was something it was very, very good at~

"My apologies lass, but I suggest you not try that again, the armor doesn't take kindly to it ye'see?" He cast a glance at Lirr, sorry that her daughter was harmed by him, even if purely by reaction and wondered what both Arael and Rainha would think if they knew he was a Force user. Good thing his armor blocked that fact from being detected as well.

"So legally, you are safe. However that really can not keep his actions from creating backlash for you"

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*She bends forward clutching her head as the backlash hits hard. Arael had not been expecting anything like this and cursed openly several times....something Gurv would have scolded her for. The teenager turns from the merc and walks over to a chair to sit down for a moment waiting for her head's pounding to subside.*

[Xais'fir]

~He watches Arael move to the chair and sit forward some, hand out in front of him~

"Again, I am sorry for that. Give it a few moments and the pain will pass." He wanted to use what command of the Force he had to aleviate some of her pain, but that would reveal too much too soon and wouldn't do so without Lirr's consent. He didn't want to blow his cover.

[Triune]

*She puts a hand on Arael's shoulder and gently massages her neck, she knew well how to deal with backlash. She looks to Rainha*

"Definately but it is minimized by certain aspects, including the fact that few of his exploits are fully understood by the various powers that be." She grins slightly. Nodding to Xais, indicating she understood and didn't hold him to blame.

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*She glares at him for a moment still in pain but not mad at him....instead it was anger at herself.* "What was that?!"

[Xais'fir]

~Holding his arms out in front of him he nods down at his armor, which she'd be able to see quite easily considering his was encased in it and he looks up at her~

"My bio-armor, a prototype given to me by Lirreka to aide in my...duties. It protects me from the Force, giving me resistances to certain powers and completely shielding my mind from attempts to probe or view it. Keeps people from finding out the things I know, who shouldn't know, so it doesn't harm the Matron. As I'm sure quite alot of it could, I know many things." Letting his arms lower to the arms of the chair again he tilts his head at the teenager. "Just..don't do that again and you'll be fine. Might serve to make you a wee bit more cautious when using your powers. Besides, I don't like hurting people I like."

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

"Understandable why you would wear such armor. Just I haven't experienced anything like that before." *The pain begins to subside as she sits up straighter with her brows still furrowed.* "Yet, I don't take kindly to you rubbing in my stupidity."

[Xais'fir]

He shakes his head at Arael and waves a hand slightly. "Hey now, I didn't say you were stupid, nor was it my intent to rub in anything. I was merely pointing out something. I don't like getting into trouble I didn't purposely cause, so I apologize if that's what you thought." The last thing he wanted was to have her pissed at him so he was hoping she'd not get any angrier with him.

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

"No no. Just such things have been happening alot lately. My luck I guess." *She falls silent.*

[Xais'fir]

"Tis just the way of things, just learn from them, so you don't let them happen a second time and you become all the better for it. Stronger if you will. Besides, luck has nothing to do with it, it's all skill, experience, will and a little guts that sees you through things." He chuckles slightly. "Trust me, I know. I've had a few..less than pleasant things happen one after the other, myself, so yer not alone in that regards. It'll pass so long as you hang tough."

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*She stands up after a while and looks down at him.* "Look. I got the point. Besides, I'm not some weak woman. I have alot of strength."

*Her temper rises and she walks away from him to fiddle with some of her items in her bag she brought along with her.*

[Xais'fir]

~He shakes his head with a grunt, it's obivoously been a while since he's dealt with anyone other than Lirr and Thorn, he was doing the opposite of what he wanted to and merely watches her fiddle with her things~

"Ugh, again I'm sorry. Never said you were weak, I know you aren't because a weak woman would not be Lirr's adopted daughter. It's not a position, for lack of a better word, that anyone can pull off. And the last thing I want is to get on your bad side." He slumps back into his chair as his gaze returns to the viewport.

~This was probably the most he's ever apologized in his life and a light sigh leaves him. When one's stuck by ones self so frequently, with nothing but a living ship to talk to, interpersonal skills slip a little~

*She leaned back and watched the exchange, not planning on interferring, they both could use the interplay.*

*She pulls out a book and begins to read it after pulling her hair behind her ear. Eagerly she studied it's contents about hyperdrives wanting anything to distract her.*
