Here Be Dragons

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*She furrows her brows as questions enter her mind.* "A virus? How can that be safe? Will it hurt me?"

[Triune]

"Virus is not as you think. It is a term for a genetic organism that will affect your cell structure. It will tingle through your body but it will not harm you or bring you pain. It will add the color changing ability and part of my own genetic code as well."

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*She nods her head.* "Then, I want to do it. Anything to make me part of your family. Maybe the others will see me as more of the family as well."

[Triune]

*She kisses Arael on the cheek*

"It is how you feel that matters to me Darling, there will always be those that you cannot win over. I will do this if it is something you want for yourself, not just to still others wagging tongues."

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*She looks into Lirreka's eyes with determination.* "I want to do this. Honestly, Ilhar, I do."

[Triune]

*Nodding she offers Arael an injector vial.*

"Inject all of this and you will begin to feel your body tingle."

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*Arael takes the vial cautiously still not completely sure. Her gaze meets Lirreka's again one last time before she positions it on her upper arm. Soon, the virus is fully injected into her body. As Lirreka had said, her whole body begins to tingle. It isn't hurtful, yet it is a strange feeling. She closees her eyes and waits for the tingling to stop.*

[Triune]

*Lirreka watches as the chromatasites begin forming in Arael's skin, first splotches of red and blue form on her then it swirls as the various colors are 'grown' in her. She knows now a thin layer of muscles is being formed over her normal muscles giving her control over the slight texture of her skin letting it seem rough or scaly as she desires..*

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*Arael feels the tingling grow a little more intense though it still isn't unpleasant until the muscles begin to form over her own. The feeling she gets is as if her skin is being ripped from her body. Though the pain is intense, she doesn't cry out. The child was amazingly strong willed just as her mother if not more so. She opens her eyes and looks as the skin ripples a little.*

[Triune]

*She winces a bit when she realizes she's in pain. That wasn't her intention but this is an inexact science at best.*

"Now, it's like wiggling your ears. Think hard on a color and try to 'wiggle' your skin."

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*She nods her head at Lirreka and thinks of the orange color Rainha had turned earlier and tries to change her own to match it. Splotches of color appear on her skin but it isn't throughout. Arael opens one eye seeing it and concentrates harder. Soon, her skin is all the same uniform color of orange.* "Like this?"

[Triune]

*A smile blossoms on Lirreka's face as she nods*

"Very good darling, now try to match my skin color."

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*She closes her eyes again picturing Lirreka in front of her as her skin begins to slowly change to that of a Danthiri. The color is a little lighter than Lirreka's own but very close.*

[Triune]

*She grins at Arael's progress*

"Open your eyes and take a look darling."

[Lady Zahra/Jules]

*She opens her eyes and looks upon her own flesh and smiles with satisfaction seeing it worked* "It worked!! I can't believe it worked!!" *A genuine smile comes across her lips as the thoughts of her failure on Corellia seem to slip far away.*
