"Of course, Master." Kapar'in replied quickly. As Nor-Lek headed out of the room, Kapar'in Va fell in step beside him, a half step behind. He wondered to himself where his Master was taking him...

Nor-Lek travelled swiftly through the temple, perusing unfamiliar routes and climbing abandoned staircases. After a short time walking he came to a door, pressing in a security code it opened, revealing a room shrouded in complete darkness. He stepped in flicking the switch beside the door. There was a few tweaks of light, before the room suddenly blasted into view. It appeared to be a giant training room, filled with weapons across the wall, and obstacles everywhere. Nor-Lek walked forward, shedding his long brown robe as he did so. He was quick to action, steeping up a small flight of stairs to reach the top of a long pole, like a tightrope. He steadily walked to the opposite side, flicking his lightsaber off of his belt.

Kapar'in walked quickly as he followed his Master through the temple. Nor-Lek was leading him through parts of the Jedi Temple that Kapar'in never knew existed. When they finally reached the training room, Kapar'in was awed by the size of it. It looked like a giant playground with pits and ramps and ladders everywhere.
Kapar'in watched as Master Nor-Lek climbed the stairs and walked across the thin pole. Centering himself in the Force, Kapar'in took off his grey cloak and followed Nor-Lek up the stairs. Stepping out onto the pole, Kapar'in drew upon the Force to further inhance his balance. He made his way carefully across the beam towards Nor-Lek.

“Now my young padawan,” he said pressing down the activation switch on his lightsaber, “we shall judge your skill.” A vibrant blue blade sprung to life from his hilt, splashing a frightful light over the dimly lit room. His body tilted form side to side, as he bent his feet, trying to hold his balance.

Drawing his own training saber, Kapar'in thumbed the trigger, a bright green blade hissing into existance. It's light added to the eerie shadows caused by Master Nor-lek's.
Shifting his position on the beam, Kapar'in stood, precariously balanced, his left foot aimed toward his Master, his right foot underneath him and perpendicular to the beam, thus keeping his weight centered. He held his blade out before him in a defensive position and waited for his Master to make the first move.

OOC: For this spar do not try and fight with your normal skills, this character has had very little lightsaber training, so just go with what feels right.
Nor-Lek’s body turned left, allowing his right arm out move freely out across the beam. He shimmied his feet over slightly, his body awkwardly tilting back and forward like a swing cot. His lightsaber swayed, ominously humming noises buzzed inanely through the air, creating an air of tension and frustration. He held his lightsaber from his waist upward, allowing himself to move easily and freely through the abyss of the Force. He sliced downward lightly, hoping to catch his padawans blade.

Kapar'in's attention was drawn from maintaining his balance to defending himself from his Master's attack. He brought his lightsaber up in an attempt to parry the attack, but as he did so, he felt his feet begin to slip on the beam.
Instinctively, he forgot about Master Nor-Lek's blade and struggled to maintain his stance. As a result, Kapar'in's saber was knocked to the side. This caused him to further lose his already unstable balance. Clutching his saber, Kapar'in slipped off the beam, but was able to catch himself before he fell.
Kapar'in felt a surge of frustration flow through him, though he quickly suppressed it. He was sparring with one of the finest Jedi Masters in the history of the Order. Did he really think he would best him? Carefully getting back to his feet, Kapar'in reignited his saber and faced Master Nor-Lek again.

“Interesting,” Nor-Lek mused, staring over his padawan. His apprentice’s lightsaber form would be decided in this fight, he would need to observe his movements very carefully. “Your attack my very young apprentice,” he said.

Taking a deep breath and centering himself in the Force, Kapar'in resumed his position on the beam. ::There is no emotion, there is peace:: he thought to himself. ::Let the Force guide you:: Gripping his lightsaber, he edged closer to his waiting Master. Without warning, he stabbed his saber towards Master Nor-Lek's head before spinning around on the beam and slashing Nor-Lek's front leg.

Nor-Lek was surprised with his padawan; youngling training had clearly worked wonders with him. Such a move required great finesse, however his padawan was not yet powerful enough to pull it off faultlessly. Nor-Lek tipped his head back, his hair sliding back from it usual cling. The green training saber blade slashed proficiently passed his face, the whit core mere inches from his nose. His reaction was swift, spinning his lightsaber in both hands and sliding his right foot forward. As the blade tore through the air, Nor-Lek stabbed his lightsaber forward, catching his padawan’s just beside his leg. “Good, very good. I believe I have seen enough, I shall teach you mastery in the form of Ataru.”

Dispite all his training as a youngling, Kapar'in was still amazed at how fast Jedi Masters could react. Master Nor-Lek had barely seemed to move and yet was able to parry his attacks. Stepping back slightly, Kapar'in maintained his balance on beam while he lowered his saber. Bowing to Nor-Lek he replied "Yes, Master." Kapar'in recognized the common name of Form IV. Coupled with his training in blaster bolt deflection, Kapar'in felt he would soon be able to handle himself in a hostile situation (ooc: I am assuming at some point i will be training in blaster defence...)

“I feel that is enough for today, meat me in this room at roughly 6AM tomorrow and we shall begin your defence training.” Nor-Lek bowed and left the room.
This is to try and keep things real, we’ll have about 50 of these before I put you up for your knight training.
Nor-Lek entered the room, seeing he had arrived before his padawan he sat down in a large chair, it moulded to his shape perfectly, and he felt quite content.

(ooc: that sounds good)
Kapar'in bowed to Master Nor-Lek, gathered his things and returned to his quarters. The next morning, Kapar'in rose early, dressed in his Padawan robes, and meditated for a little while, before meeting Master Nor-Lek for the next step in his training. Kapar'in felt that his first lesson had gone well, though he was still slightly embarrassed about slipping on teh beam, but Nor-Lek had seemed pleased overall so that was a good sign.
He arrived to find Master Nor-Lek sitting waiting for him. Bowing low, he greeted his Master. "Good Morning Master."

“Good morning Kapar’in” he said, coming to a stand and walking across the large room. It was made of a hardwearing duracrete, and was clearly a high placed room, as the ceiling was more a large window than anything else. A section of the room was laid in a floor of mats roughly 10 metres by 10 metres. He stood in the centre of a large floor of mats, he beckoned for his padawan to come before him. “The most important of a Jedi’s life is far from combat orientated, however how is one to practice his teaching if he cannot defend against foes? I will today be teaching you the basics of defence and when it is acceptable to draw your lightsaber, after this I will feel comfortable taking you out into the galaxy to give your first hand training.”

Kapar'in followed Master Nor-Lek to the center of the mat and stood before him while he explained the lesson. Yes, Master Nor-Lek." he replied.
