Training sessions passed (each represents 2 days): 1/70 Missions passed (Variable): 0/10
Total days of tutelage: 2
Nor-Lek sat in the training room nestled in the lower levels of the Coruscant Jedi Temple. It was a square room, with a large window covering the far wall. The light basked in upon his back, casting a contrasting shadow across the grandly patterned floor. He had cantered himself in the Force, awaiting his new padawan. No doubt this would be the beginning of many years of friendship and work.

Kapar'in walked quickly through the Jedi Temple's hallways. Today was his first day of training and he could hardly wait to begin. He slowed momentarily as he neared the training room, pausing to straighten his robes.
He entered the room and saw Master Nor-Lek seated on the floor. Kapar'in was amazed at how strongly he could feel the Force flowing from his new Master. Seating himself in front of Master Nor-Lek, Kapar'in bowed his head. "Master Nor-Lek, I am here to begin my training."

Not-Lek smiled slightly, before opening his eyes and resting them upon his apprentice. “Indeed that is what I had assumed,” he said, running his hand across his fringe to brush his hair aside from his eyes. In a sudden motion he stood, and walked starkly toward the window. When he got there he merely stood tall, his arms crossed behind his back as he stared out over the mechanical abyss known as Coruscant.

Kapar'in watched Master Nor-Lek stand and walk over to the window. He continued to remain seated and attempted to study the flow of the Force as it swirled around his new Master. Nor-Lek had not been named a Senior Jedi council member for nothing. In fact, Kaparin had been quite pleased when Nor-Lek had agreed to take him as a Padawan.
After several minutes, he rose and follwed Nor-Lek over to the window. Standing to his right and slightly behind him, Kapar'in joined him in staring out the window into the streets of Coruscant.

Nor-Lek did not appear to be readying to talk. If it hand been for his breathing he could have passed of as dead. The sun was just rising, and its radiant orange glow was stabbing over the top of the skyscrapers, its glare hiding the newly risen sun. The people below had no identity, they were faceless and featureless dots, channelling through the endless city streets. Despite the fact that the planet was covered by inanimate city, it was truly alive. “Do you know the Force-Sensitive ratio?” he said, abruptly.

Nor-Lek's sudden question threw Kapar'in. "No, Master, I do not. Though I would think it is quite small."

Nor-Lek didn’t answer straight away he continued staring out of the window, his eyes illuminated in the sun which was surprisingly higher than it was moments before. “One Million to one, interesting isn’t it? Two million people and we are the one’s that can use the force. Indeed, very interesting.” He finished.

Kapar'in nodded. "That is interesting Master. It is much lower than I would have thought. Do you know why it is so low?" As he spoke, Kapar'in watched Master Nor-Lek. He thought he understood what his teacher was getting at. How fortunate they were that off all the people in the galaxy, they were among the few chosen ones who could wield the Force.
As Kapar'in thought more about it, he realized how lucky he was that the Jedi Order had taken him in.

“I cannot even not begin to ponder, the Force works in mysterious ways, no one can fully understand its will, not even I.” He said, calmly glancing at his padawan before looking back out of the window. “We have a busy day ahead of us, much to do, much to be said. But do not focus on that, be mindful of what is to come but do not focus on it. Do you understand the difference?”

"I believe so Master. I should let the Force prepare me for what is to come, but not dwell on it so much that I lose sight of the living Force." He watched his Master, hoping that he had indeed understood his meaning.

Nor-Lek nodded offhandedly. “Yes that is a fair representation of what I mean, yet practicing it is a considerably harder than reciting it. For example, a man is walking through a corridor, he knows that around the corner there is a Mobus Resistus trooper, he readies himself for combat, and just as he is about to turn the corner a security blaster shoots and kills him. Had he been aware of his foe at the corner, but still been focused in the moment he would have survived. Similarly you need to be aware of the consequences of your actions, but not dwell on them, deal with each problem as they arise and attempt to follow the will of the force.” He said.

Kapar'in nodded. "I think I understand Master. Allow the Force to guide my actions."

“Indeed, I shall elaborate further later.” He said, turning from the window. “There is much to do today, I will spend a few hours training you in lightsaber combat before allowing you some rest.”

Kapar'in smiled inwardly as he bowed to Nor-Lek. He was most eager to begin his training. "Yes, Master." Kapar'in's right hand dropped to his belt as he felt the hilt of his training saber. "I am ready to begin."

“What, here?” He said, before chuckling a bit. “No, no. Far to easy, come with me my young padawan learner.” He said, heading out of the room.
