I'm voting big cats.Tiger or Lion. Not sure why though. When I think of a nobleman,I could see his family crest being a lion.

Do you mean real? Or really big? Anyway Tigons are real (I think) but I may have the name wrong. You see one of them (Liger and Tigon) is a cross between a Female Lion and a Male Tiger and the other is a cross between a Male Lion and a Female Lion, I forget which is which. And yes it makes a difference since the growth inhibitors that stop the cat from over growing its enivronment are on passed on by different sexes for each species meaning that a Liger gets no growth inhibitors meaning it can grow to huge sizes (for a cat anyway).

I meant real... Ligers are like the size of an elephant. Heres some stats on Ligers: Father is Lion, Mother Tiger, average male 900 pounds, 12 feet tall (about 3.6 metres)

Tigon, and Ligers are indeed very real, though most are unable to breed. Those animals are huge, mainly the Tigon, they are about as slose to the saber tooth as we can get,, awsomly huge...
you know what other Big cat is cool, The King Cheeta, they are about twice the size, and are striped rather than spotted, but there are only about 100 known to have been seen..
the Tazmanian Tiger was cool, too bad they died out,, though I think they were marsupials and not cats

And yes the Tazmanian Tiger wasn't a cat, I think it was closer to a dog in fact. And yes it died out but people say they there are a few still alive in the backwater wildernesses of Tasmania. Kind of how people say there are still Moa in NZ somewhere. Mind you in NZ everyone through the Pukeko was exstinct but then it was discovered again in small numbers in Southland.

There are even reports of Moose in Fiordland NZ, even though they were introduced and then died out down their.

well, thats the nice thing about CryptoZoology, its not limited to "monsters" but also extinct animals showing up, natural or unnatural mutations or adaptations, simple animals where they should not be for one reason or another,,Alot of big finds lately, Like that Antelope in Vietnam that has gills on it's shout, the only known mammal with gills

Although 'Bear' was listed I still voted for 'other' 'Bear' just doesn't cut it. People will think of scruffy black bears or maybe a polar bear... Some might think of the Kodiak which is alot closer but me, no there's only one 'Bear' that stands out in my mind; The Megalithic Bear of Prehistoric North America (Its closest living relative is the Godbear of The Chemkatchka Peninsula). Here's my reason. This is a 'fable' told by the olderst of north american indian tribes.
The Spirits (It varies with the tribe as to the specific entity) Created the world and upon it they spread the animals of nature. Along with them came Man and soon man was destroying what the Spirits created. The animals cried out for aid and the Spirits created Bear. Bear would keep Man's violations of nature in check.
That is why Bear is noble and why I could not check the 'bear' in the list.
