Down a long dark corridor away from the other training rooms, an entrance to a high security area is found. It is through these doors that a large open room is found. Very little light breaks through the room as there seems to be a shroud of darkness about it. Where other rooms are well lit with candlelight, this one holds few candlelabras. Only the most deadly of assassins are sent here for training. Strict orders were given to the slaves and others within the room that the person held inside was not to be bothered. The only person with access to the room was Master Rajani herself.

*Only the soft drip of wax and the steady rhythm of his breathing gave any sound to this quiet place. At least when he was alone that is. He slept. It seemed odd perhaps that someone so laconic was housed in the high security area but thus was the case.*

*Days had passed in this room without food...without water. All that was here was simply him and the darkness. She felt that he needed to become deeply acquainted with it. Before her two slaves entered the room and set down a mug of water and a plate of food. Rajani stood in the corner waiting for them to leave and secure the door behind them before her fingers snapped and the lights from the candles seemed to grow unnaturally high.*
"You need your strength. Based upon my research, I believe you'll find your meal to your tastes. Radmila's personal journal in her ship's records helped in that much."
*A smile was upon her face at this as she waited for any kind of response out of him.*

*He has remained moderately at ease during this time, rising only to use the bathroom. As food and Rajani arrive he does rise and walk towards the food, picking up only the mug of water.*
"This food will not sustain me. I can smell the chemicals in it from here."

*She raised her eyebrow at this response and called out a name towards the door. A slave entered and bowed before her.*
"Take this filth and remove it. Bring something more suitable for our new student."
*The slave bowed low and moved towards the plate to pick it up. He bowed to Vassur but not as low as to Rajani. His eyes slowly lift up to meet his own as if waiting an order.*
"You must tell him what it is he should bring. He is no mind reader."

*He sighed though only inside. He would not reveal his distaste for this to her or anyone. Looking at the slave he thought for a long moment.*
"A quadrapedal mammal or reptile also a piscene will suffice. Find such an animal, kill it and bring it to me on a plate. I need no more then that..." He looks to Rajani "Depending on the span between meals you might need to have help to bring the plate." He does take up the mug of water and drinks of it.

"The frequency of your meals will depend upon numerous factors. There is a saying I tell all who are brought under my wing. Obey and gain prestige and you shall be rewarded. If you wish to make it outside this room and be able to hunt on your own, you will have to earn that priviledge."
*The servant bows again to Vassur and leaves. The door clanks shut again and she moves closer to him.*
"You have a strong spirit. It is one thing that gives you your strength. Yet there is an untapped source of strength within you. Do you know of what I speak?"

"My anger."
*He didn't offer more than that, he needed to hunt but he knew if she were aware of that she would use it as another chain to collar him.*

*She smiled in response to his answer.*
"You are wiser than I had thought. The Jedi shun and dissuade any feelings of anger, passion, attachments, etc. It is this that they fear will weaken and even destroy them. However, they are misguided in this belief....and weakened by their lack of understanding of emotions...."

*He crouches down on his heels, his arms resting on his knees. It seemed a posture of comfort for him.*
"They are fearful and rightly so. Passion, Fury, Anger these are all strong emotions and can blind as well as empower. They are intoxicating and addictive, easy for humans to get lost in them. To stay the course one must focus with the mind and not the heart." He looked up at her "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

*She paces in the room a little and moves to one of the candles burning brightly in the corner.*
"Think of a flame. Just like anger or even love, it burns brightly in someone if given the right amount of oxygen and fuel. Once one of these things is gone, it is snuffed out and forgotten. If fed, it grows in strength and power. A single spark can take down an entire forest within hours. As a result wildlife is killed off and plant life scortched. To the naked eye it is total destruction, yet beneath the ashes rises new life....new birth....a renewal of the forest. Such a thing is natural. Suppressing the fire and preventing this rebirth is almost cruel. By supressing these very feelings and thoughts, the Jedi are killing themselves and those they serve. Containing this flame and snuffing it out, they choke themselves and limit what they were meant to become."
*She turns around to face him.*
"The beliefs that the Jedi follow are based upon an ideal that can never be obtained. They've shut themselves off from what the world is really like and exist like gods instead."

*He nods at her words, they made good sense but only went so far, at least in his way of thinking.*
"What you speak is true, Rebrith from destruction is the way Nature continues, like a fire the emotions of which you speak also bring rebirth after their most volitile. Growth however can only come from careful management of the forces of which you refer. Deep Roots are needed to ensure rebirth."

"Deep roots and control or harnessing of this gift is obtained through training....which is why you are here. I feel you have many questions. Yet, the time to answer them will come another time. Think about these words I've said to you, Vassur. I'll leave you to your feast."
*She turns around to leave as three large beasts were brought into the room by the slaves. Their bodies were still warm and covered in sweat from the pursuit. They were as fresh as fresh could be. As soon as they brought the animals in, they bowed to him and left the room. Vassur was left alone to eat and ponder.*

*All thoughts of their talk vanished the moment he smelled the feast. THey were freshly killed, this was nearly as good as if he had hunted them himself. He did not wait for them to leave but quickly tore into one with his teeth to feast on the still-warm blood and flesh.*

*One would think the carcasses would be removed from the room, but they weren't. For days the carcasses were left for him to stare at and hunger for more. Even the few candles that were left in the room grew dim and then extinguished as their wick was gone and the wax littered the floor. Darkness....total darkness consumed the room and the occupant of the prison like room. After several days had passed, a slave tentatively entered the room and moved towards the carcasses attempting to remove them. Being as he was alone, the door leading out of the room was left open behind him.*
