Alright, I am well aware this have been debated over many, many times but I find it rather odd that absolutly no character which were aware of the Sith's existence are permitted to be even used as side characters within the story... Yes, the Sith have been brought back into secrety to a point of near instinction, and many of the Jedi participating to the war died as well, yet some people never even participated to the war, and many characters were rather young. It just seems sily that an entire population would have been wiped out from the galaxy for the simple reason of them knowing of the sith, I beleive it shouldn't be that way, because if all the jedi truly died, then who could have confirmed the Sith's reign over the galaxy to be over? Who could have told of the great stories of the fall of the Sith? Then again, how would have the younglings learned how to make use of the force if no masters were left to teach them? Who could have remembered the atrocities of the war... I'm not asking all the characters to be active and running like before, not at all yet I beleive it would still be nice for some to have a certain presence within the rp and I beleive it could bring much, much more to the story on both sides... Sith and Jedi alike. Just think about it

They've not been "wiped out" as you put it. The Jedi have just made the people believe that the Sith Order was like a "fairy tale" with some truth to it, and that they are gone forever.
Jedi...they're good at lying.

I'm not using my old character. I'm using his grandson. The Bendu are the only ones who know that the Sith exist, but that is because they used to be part of the Jedi. And, they are SO far out of reach from the rest of the galaxy (Kal'Shabbol is the furthest planet from the Core) that 1) they don't care and 2) the Jedi don't care that they know, since honestly they do not know they exist.
So, as I was saying, I am not using my old character.

I never blamed or ordered anyone to use their old characters... Simply stating the fact that I don't see why we are not allowed to use them, and suggesting perhaps a second debate upon this.

The reason is because most characters would be 75-100 years old. What's the point of RPing with them if you really can't do anything with them? Most were human, so are you going to have characters fighting with canes or competing in wheelchair racing at Loving Arms Nursing Home?

It's true. If your character was still alive, he/she would be too old to really do much of anything. Yoda was still agile because of his race. Humans aren't so resilient when they get older. Just FYI. Create a new character. It's actually sort of fun and challenges you more.

Then, to be fair, we would have to allow it. So, the easier and less annoying and stressful way to do it is saying "Make a new character".

I agree with you on that, then again there had been many, many things left out when the rp moved foward 75 years ahead... I don't wish to start a flame war on the pros and cons of bringing back the old character in this rp, but it would definetly be a very good thing to have a section that would allow us in fact to finish the past rp's to end up to our present situation as in Chronicles from the past... At least letting the deaths of many characters being remembered throughout the history as the role players would like them to be remembered. *** Alright lol, sorry about my weird and overall incomprehensible way of writting... Its not my fault if I'm plain bad at it

What you can do is write up something for your own personal benefit. All you need to do is finish up your characters story on paper in story form, just as I did with Ussej Bac.

That doesn't alter much the fact that many could like to keep their old characters at least present. Of course with the age, they wouldn't be much able to interract but isn't that restriction already enough?
A character can do so much more with words then actions, taking words from Lucas about his third film; Just as Anakin slaughters the separatists, Palpatine creates the Empire. Even though Anakin's move had proven to be far more brutal then Palpatines, the most horrible of things happening is definetly the birth of the Empire, and the death of the republic.
What problems is there if people have their characters back as long as they respect a certain set of rules?

I dont mean to sound like a total ass but it was decided a while ago: NO old characters. Period. End of sentence.
See the problem with letting people use their old characters, even with them being old, is that some people WOULDN'T abide by the rules. Its just plain and simple. Therefore, we decided to not allow any old characters at all. We the admins are sorry that we forced you all to pretty much throw out their old characters but it was decided to be for the best.
