Ive been talking to some people and I really feel that it's kinda getting out of hand. Before you go and start thinking 'he's just mad because he doesnt have anyother charrecters' just know that this rule could hurt me too. If people get rid of their mandalorian charecters so they can keep their jedi or sith ones I loose members...so yea
But the reasons why I want it:
1) It would build the tension, setting up a better atmosphere for the rp. You'd really feel the hatred between jedi and sith (or good vs bad) because they are apposing your team or side.
2)It's really getting out of hand...half the charecters arent even used....
3) this could happen.
Jimmi:Hey lets go attack the jedi!
Jude: Okay round up everyone...
Jimmi:Okay! I got me, you, henry, and doug...
Jude: WAit isnt doug and henry on the jedi?
Jimmi:Yea but we have them to
---------
Henry:Hey lets go attack the sith!
Doug:Okay! round up everyone
Henry:OK! I got jimmi and jude.
Doug:Wait, theyre on our team too?

Reasons FOR multiple characters
1) Being free to Roleplay but having your character bound up in a RP that is delayed because someone isn't on. Having multiple characters prevents your own character's timeline from getting too convolutied (Well I'm in RP X first then RP Y THEN RP W so you can't kill me in Z just yet)
2)Being in variant moods does not cause your character to have mood swings that'd demand him be put on lithium
3)Being able to use all your ideas when all of them may not apply to one character.
4) It keeps the Roleplaying from growing stale. (OKay my Jedi uses Force push AGAIN *yawn*)
5) It keeps the RPs from becoming too tense. (It's meant to be fun not dire shit that makes people blow up OOC because of stuff)
6) It allows players to explore various character ideas while they're still fresh and not left to grow stale while you play one at a time.
7) Keeps players from holding on to their character so tightly as to NEVER let the character get hurt (IE bad RPing)
8) Need I go on?
9) because I can.
;D
Simply put I like having multiple characters simply because I never know what kind of RPing I'm going to feel like doing when I log on and having multiples makes it easier for me to find a nightly niche.

All of that may be true...but when everyone is on everyones team, how is taht roleplay? Thats more of 'storytelling'...you have to see where Im coming from, right?

Yeah i do Matt. But you would think people would have more sense than that, even though most dont
Perhaps the rule should allow multiple characters but their alignment Could be only Light/Dark and neutral.
That way people cant have characters on both sides.

Hoorex, this thing is a good Idea, and you backed it up fairly well in your arguement, but I don't agree with it at all. Why? Well, take for instance the old RP. Bo was Captured and We all(Adamis, Me, and Shara) had to wait for Adena to free everybody. But, alas, that NEVER happened. So, If I only RPed as Bo, would I have ANY fun at all? No, I'd be in the OOC section all day, every day. It's like Lirreka said: More characters=More fun, ESPECIALLY if you can't RP with "Buddy X" for some reason or other.

Yet another good problem, but why not at the very least put a limit on the amount of charecters per person? and as damien said a certain alignment. Also, I'm sure if they had a good reason such as, need to wait for adena ta free me, no one would have a problem with you making another charecter.

Well, you see, the Alignment thing takes the fun out of RPing. If you get THAT attached to your faction, that you Continuosly make characters for it, that's pretty sad. Now, making one for each faction, that's fun.
Now, don't say "Then how come you only make Jedi Characters?!", 'Cause I'll answer that.
It's because a Jedi is what I'm good at, and It's just more fun for me. Now, I'm going out on a limb with the Businessman AJ, since I've never done that before, so it's already fun for me.
