I don't think that padawans/acolytes should have the blade color or number restricted, but they should be made to RP the construction of it. With all the stores selling lightsabers and crystals, it is too easy to just walk in and buy one and be done with it. I think they should have to show that they made their own saber first and then could be allowed to upgrade it or buy additional ones. Woudl you be sayign that if you were an Apprentice?

Woudl you be sayign that if you were an Apprentice? Well actually, Stewie? the whole point of these forums is "Role Playing". I did the RP on the construction of my sabers, and i made Lim Dul do so aswell. Besides the fact that the construction of a saber is extremely hard - being able the wield one in a fight even harder for those not trained. I dont think apprentices should be restricted in the colours and what not, but they should not be allowed to use LightSabers full stop. Until they have done some decent RP on both construction of a saber and wielding one.

apprentices should not be able to use a lightsaber until they are trained to build one and use one by atleast training the apprentices one lightsaber form (shii-cho, niman ect ect)

I dunno, mainly in the Jedi...there are too many double-bladed ligthsabers or lightsabers with irrgular crystal colours? im just suggesting that Jedi Knights, Sith Acolytes and below should be restricted saberwise. eg. Knight and below: One Single bladed lightsaber of blue, green or yellow colour. Acolyte and below: One single bladed lightsaber of red colour. People are gonna hurt me for this... Yeah sounds like a good idea... but it would be up to faction leaders to uphold these rules.

Woudl you be sayign that if you were an Apprentice? Yes, I would because (as Konrad noted) before I became a knight I was an apprentice and i RPed my saber's construction. I had to earn it, not just walk into a store and buy it. Constructing my lightsaber was part of my character's development.

i still dont think there should be a restriction, a saber reflects who a person is, their personality, its what defines them as a person and fighter. if you restricd sabers you might as well just make people use premade chars.

To be able to use a 'doubled blade' you must know how to use a single otherwise you couldn't weild the double (As a 'double blade' is only a 2 sided 'single'). Plus if this rule even came into effect why would you even use a double blade in the first place?
Plus other than yours and my post in this topic... The last reply was *Looks back* A little over a month ago please don't ressect dead topics
