it is more realistic but people might leave this site because of the restrictions.

i use white. if anyone asked?
and i dont think its fair to the lower ranking members to be restricted in their saber choice because of rank. ones lightsaber reflects who they are, not their rank.

A lightsaber's blade is as unique as the one who weilds it. Restricting people for their choice of color is slightly ridiculous if you ask me... It removes this very uniqueness there is to a person's lightsaber which shouldn't happen... Besides, even in the Kotor universe, padawans starts with a color which they can feel free to change whenever they wish, so making this rule would simply mean someone will have to change there lightsaber's color as soon as they get their weapon...

Personally I have really nothing in this particular debate in that Lirreka doesn't use a lightsaber. HOWEVER if white sabres are difficult to make then they should be by their very complexity limited to those better skilled at making them. If I had someone who used a Lightsaber I'd have about a dozen of them or more, set them all to be 'on' then force-toss all of them at a person. (I'm hoping this is the big grin, I still cant' see smileys) Who needs skill when you got sheer rediculous numbers. I'm reminded of a scene in a Jackie Chan movie where Michelle Yeoh threw a chopstick with deadly accuracy then he grabbed a handful and hurled them haphazardly at them yelling 'Die!' *Snickers* (Yes I'm gonna use this form of Emoting until I can see Smiley's again darn it! )

Ah, It was just the visual of throwing numerous turned on Lightsabers at someone reminded me of a scene in a Jackie Chan movie. Supercop I think...

Purple and Orange? Nay I would like a black lightsaber. Black lightsaber is an oxymoron. black is the antithesis of light. It would have to be a shadow saber. I have one already created in my PnP D20 game. I made entire race of shadows...theri planet is covered in enternal darkness and they are very powerful. Instead of the normal lightsaber hum...the shadow saber exudes a hissing sound that gets louder as it swung about. Also it leaves a trail of shadow behind it as it is swung. It also has a faint odor of brimstone. The shadows of Kundauthil have a major weakness sunlight can kill them so they wear special suits to block out the light of day. When in darkness or shadow they can move through the shadows as if teleporting at will. Artifcial light hurts their eyes but nothing more.

I don't think that padawans/acolytes should have the blade color or number restricted, but they should be made to RP the construction of it. With all the stores selling lightsabers and crystals, it is too easy to just walk in and buy one and be done with it. I think they should have to show that they made their own saber first and then could be allowed to upgrade it or buy additional ones.
