August's Training

[August/Heetho]

"The way I believe it is as follows:

The force is all around, and in everything, though it is more concentrated in certain areas. It determines our fate, our destiny if you will. Though, this is where we come in. The force gathers in certain beings, and this is where the lightside, and darkside of the force seperate. The lightside is peaceful, a crusader for good, protector of all, while the darkside is chaos, bringer of pain, and slayer of the weak."

[Lakkerun Joh'had]

"Pretty good.

The Force is contained within particles and fields, invisible normally. However, if you are to listen close enough, to truly feel the world as it is, you will sense the Force. You will know all around you, as you know the Force, and the Force is everything.

The light and dark sides are complicated things, which you will learn about later in training. I will not discuss them at this moment...

But that's a good start. Now then, let's practice a bit, shall we? First, use a Force Push on me. Don't worry about hurting me, I have my own defenses."

[August/Heetho]

"As you wish Master."

August broke his meditative state, pulling himself off the stool. He adjusted his tunic and leggings, then closed his eyes, pointing his palm open at Lakkerun. He really wanted to put alot of force behind this Force Throw, so for a few seconds he just concentrated. His eyes shot open quickly, followed by a strong force push direct at Jakkerun's chest.

[Lakkerun Joh'had]

*Hardly making a move, I concentrate, and use a Force Breach on K'tal an instant before the Force Push makes its way towards me. I can tell how strong the Force Push was by judging how much energy it required to dispel the Push.*

"Pretty good, K'tal. Try now with a Force Pull..."

[August/Heetho]

August once more began concentrating as he had before, his eyes closing, and his body relaxing, then he turned his hand so the back of his hand was facing Master Lakkerun. He took a moment to gather the energy, then jerked his hand towards himself as if motioning someone to come towards him. His eyes shot open, and his body tensed, immediately relaxing afterward.

[Lakkerun Joh'had]

*Again, the energy is dispersed before it can reach its intended target. Lakkerun remains as safe as ever, although his heart rate has increased a smidge from the effort. *

"Excellent, August. Now, explain to me what you do when you use either of these powers. Meaning, what process do you go through when you want to utilize the Force?"

[August/Heetho]

August readjusted his posture, "Well..." He seemed nervous, as if not entirely sure he knew what he did, "I...I just sort of imagined that everything in front of me was...under my control. As if an extension to myself. Then, I used everything in front of me to first pull you forward, then push you back."

[Lakkerun Joh'had]

"There are no wrong answers. Whatever works, works.

Now then. Let's move on to some basic combat. Can you wield a blaster? A rifle? A sword? A lightsabre?"

[August/Heetho]

"Well," He sighed,"I am acustomed to fight melee, though I do like using hand to hand tactics, mostly because they are less lethal, but", He then rolled his eyes, "I have used a lightsaber, but I didn't have proper training with it. But yes, I use the Lightsaber for combat." He nodded at the last comment he made, and looked back at Lakkerun.

[Lakkerun Joh'had]

"Right then. We'll start off with hand-to-hand. Then progress to shortswords. And we'll finish it off with lightsabres.


Don't worry about hurting me. I am fully capable of defending myself. Nor will I hurt you. And if one of is hit, by accident I would hope, the edges of the blade are dull enough that they won't hurt. Just give you a nasty bruise.

The sabres will also be set to stun. It'll sting, but shouldn't do worse than that.


Alright then. When youre ready, attempt to strike me, hand-to-hand."


*I flex my arms for a brief moment, then stand up, shaking my head from side to side. Adjusting my feet, I settle myself into a K'thiri stance.*

It was obvious August was untrained as he stood in the stance he normally did, a style all his own. His left foot slid back, and pointed horizontal, with his right foot perpendicular to that, pointing towards Lakkerun, "As you wish Master." His right hand curled in fist about a foot from his chest, while his left hand was in a tight fist at just in front of his left hip. He pushed off his left foot, and twisted his body around, his right fist flying towards Lakkerun's left shoulder, while his left fist aimed for Lakkerun's sturnem. His chest, however, wasn't unprotected. He curled his knees to his chest, so that way if Lakkerun tried to punch August's chest, then he would be blocked by his shins.

[Lakkerun Joh'had]

*A faint tingling in the back of Lakkerun's head is all he needs. Maybe it's the Force, maybe it's combat intuition, we'll never know. Regardless, it alerts him instantly the threat of August's attack.

With the speed and grace only a Jedi Master could achieve, Master Joh'had ducks down to the ground, allowing the punches to soar straight through where his body once was. While down on the ground, Lakkerun uses a tight spinning kick before standing up. With August off-balance a bit in his semi-crouching stance, the attack should toss him off his feet. That is, if it works.*

[August/Heetho]

The counter hit him square on the back, causing him to instantly stretch back out, and thus catch himself before landing. However, his back was to Master Lakkerun. He did a hoping sweep, hoping to catch Master Lakkerun before he rose to his feet, but pulled his hands to his chest, to block any shots that might be inflicted there.

[Lakkerun Joh'had]

*As Lakkerun rises up from the ground, his ankle is caught briefly by August's attack. But the Jedi catches himself, and refuses to fall to the ground.

I step forward, towards August, who was at this point at good striking distance. I make a quick jab with my right towards his stomach, then another quick jab at his right shoulder with my left hand.

However, those two attacks were but a distraction. Almost immediately after I send the blows, I attempt to knee August in his thigh. Painful, if it lands. This maneouvre is especially useful while still in the K'thiri stance, but does make Joh'had a bit off-balance.*

[August/Heetho]

The initial punch towards the stomach was blocked by August's elbows, but the force pulled his arms out of place, allowing the shot to the shoulder to hit. This was completely unguarded against, and thus knocked him off balance, aided with the knee to the thigh, August fell to the ground. He caught himself with his hands, and sprung back off, attempting to spring kick Master Lakkerun in the chest.
