Poison Brooks's Training

[Isii Derrum]

*Jorax awaited the Youngling in a meditative state, thinking of today's lesson*

Snake walked towards Jorax. Here she would prove that she was not like her ancestors. She would turn over a new leaf for future Brooks.

"Hello..."

[Isii Derrum]

"Why did your ancestor hate Force Users?"

*Jorax opened his eyes, and the room was bare and empty, save a desk filled with parts for building and fixing. Brooks...although the last name sounded familiar...he couldn't put his hand on it*

[*~The Snake Shadow~*]

"I don't know, she never told me."

Snake wasn't surprised that Jorax knew what she was thinking. Apparently, it was one of the evils Force-users possessed as her mother and mentor, Blade Brooks, had told her.

[Isii Derrum]

"Well than Padawan. I want you to sit down, and just relax. Picture the most peaceful place you've been and then describe it to me."

*Jorax stood up. Apparently, his Padawan has some conflict inside of her as well as family matters. Today's lesson would be focusing then, and maybe a few Force Powers. Her lightsaber would come in due time*

Snake sat down and tried to think of a peaceful place. Her life had been full of training, but there was a rare time when she could actually sit down and think.

She closed her eyes and smiled as she remembered sanding on a sand dune on Tatooine, gazing into the sunset.

[Isii Derrum]

*Jorax felt Poison calming down, and then in her happy place*

"Good...good. Now, I want you to describe it to me..."

[*~The Snake Shadow~*]

"There is...An endless sea of sand around me. I'm on the top of a sand dune and I'm watching the twin suns fall beyond the horizon. It's...relaxing..."

[Isii Derrum]

"Very good...very good...today's lesson will be focusing your powers, harnessing the Force. Whenever you think you are in doubt, or are lost, think of this happy place...think of this happy place and relax. It will clear your mind...now...could you recite the Jedi Code to me?"

*Jorax knew that if she couldn't do that...there would be much ahead to teach...*

Snake nodded her head and began to recite the Jedi Code.

"There is no emotion, there is peace
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge
There is no passion, there is serenity
There is no death, there is the Force."

[Isii Derrum]

"Good...good...now...can you explain to me what each of these mean? Oh, and take your time...no need to hurry."

*Jorax saw potential in the girl...and all she had to do was harness it. She was probably going to understand focusing in a bit, so he would teach her and lecture her a little more...maybe a few Force Powers...choose what she wanted to be...and then let her go into the wild...*

"'There is no emotion, there is peace' means that a Jedi is supposed to keep their emotions in check so that they can complete their missions without their feeling in the way is what I believe, Master."

[Isii Derrum]

"Good...this first line represents our feelings. Never let your feelings blind you. If you do, it could lead to the path of the Dark Side. Go on..."

*So far so good...if she could make it through the whole Code, then she was far more than exceptional...she was talented*

Snake nodded her head and continued.

"'There is no ignorance, there is knowledge', means that a Jedi should always open his or her mind to knowledge, for one can never stop learning and develpoing their minds.

'There is no passion, there is serenity' means that a Jedi should not deal with matters using passion, no matter how big or small.

'There is no death, there is the Force', means that death is not the end of life. It is merely another path to walk down."

[Isii Derrum]

"There are many ways to interpret this...but yours is quite interesting. Such knowledge for a Youngling...good."

*Jorax sat down across from her*

"Open your eyes young one. Look into my eyes."

*He would bring her into his realm...and there her training would begin*
