History:
Rahj was born into a very powerful family in the Teleerian community. The Teleerian are a small chain of cities on Tatooine that are very remote and use "primitive technology.
There are several clans among them the most powerful was Liu clan. They assumed the right to the throne and capitol city, Menthius, which means in there language means "pure and beautiful".
Growing up Rahj was always the best in physical events and usually placed second in academic competitions. Growing up wthin a rich family that was royalty gave Rahj great self-confidence that only boosted his physical pursuits and made him a little cocky.
When Rahj reached the age of 19 he was walking the streets of the humid capitol enjoying the many scenic veiws when a member of a rival clan confronted Rahj. The man continued to verbally abuse Rahj and his clan, and then he made a grab for Rahj's prized dagger. When Rahj blocked the attempt to snatch his most prized possesion the attacker grew angry and attacked him. Rahj killed him in self-defense.
Many new of his crime. And he was reported the same day and trialed that night. In Teleer shedding someones blood is a very harsh crime that can be punished with death. When Rahj was trialed he was afraid of the councils might. His father was the head of the council and did nothing except smile.
The council couldn't decide on execution or imprisonment, instead they punished him with Exile. The terms of Exile are: 1) The commiter of the crime must seperate their name from the clan (example. Rahj-Liu becomes Rahj Liu) 2) the commiter of the crime must be branded with the mark of the traitor. 3) The exiled man will now be escorted off the lands and given some money and a transport never to return.
Shortly after Exile Rahj went from planet to planet and came upon a stone. He never saw something more repulsive and the aura was depressing. But he couldn't help but touch it. He remembers pain and suffering in a dream but awoke in a hospitol and he was wearing a miniature version of the stone ever sense. Also from there on he hears voices in his head urging him to let go.
