The garo
The garo are a nationality from a distant world located in wild space, a far corner of the galaxy which is mostly unexplored. The world has been named Terra according to the garo merchants who have ventured away from their home world. When asked about its specific location seemingly every merchant replied the same way "Not sure." Supposedly they are a people who have only in the past 40 years or so mastered hyperspace travel. Rumors have gone around speaking of the hidden truth; pilots have spoken about the garo having a dark past filled with murder and war. Many disclaim such stories as myth or rumors.
The garo have small trading outposts set out on a number of worlds on the outer rim and the core. Although from a predominantly inhabited world, the garo merchants are not solely consisting of humans. Rather they range from ithorian, to trandosian, and many more species. They wear a distinct uniform of a black robe tightly pulled in giving no slack on the arms or legs giving the appearance of an assassin, or ninja. Their faces are hidden by a black force mask covering their facial features. When asked why they wear the mask they simply reply that they don’t want a force user to trick them with the force or read their mind. They sell herbs from various worlds on the outer rim, and exotic gems. They have even sold tools, weapons, and droids. Using merchant ingenuity they know how to increase the price of an item to gain more of a profit, and yet manage to sway most of the customers to think it is a reasonable deal even if it isn’t. These outposts consist of an average of four to eight garo merchants. They seem to be a merchant clan who work together to find best areas to sell and make a profit. Most of their dealings are secret and many are wondering if there is more to them then meets the eye.
