History:
His father, Ussej Bac II, was the son of Ussej Bac and Laili Rendar. The three of them had escaped into the Unknown Regions with Kit Rendar. They were fleeing from the forces of Darth Apocalus and Darth Invidius: the Dark Lords of the Sith. Ussej and Kit had faced the two Sith Lords in an attempt to prevent them from crowing themselves the Dark Lord and Dark Lord’s Apprentice respectively. Ussej had already turned from the Dark Side while fighting Invidius on Korriban. He had managed to turn Kit away from the darkness and convince him to help. But, the two were overwhelmed and forced to flee. They knew that if they were to continue their family names they would have to go as far away as they could.
Many years after Apocalus and Invidius had taken the throne, the group of escapees was picked up by a ship in the Unknown Regions. Fearing for their lives, the group got into an attack stance. But, the unknown people were not attackers: they were rescuers. The people, introducting themselves as the Bendu Knights of the Ashla, revealed that they were on an exploration mission in the Skywalker Nebula which was where they all were at the time. They explained who they were and the philosophies of their Order. The group was stunned to hear that they were once part of the Jedi Order.
They were taken back to Kal’Shabbol. Laili received training and sat on the Council of Priests, but decided to resign after a few years. She and Ussej had another child, a girl named Talia, but the child died of a leukemia-like disease on her eighth birthday.
Ussej and Kit were made Priests after a few years and Ussej II became a Knight. Ussej and Kit eventually became High Priests and sat at the head of the Council of Priests. There came a time when a strange race threatened to destroy the Bendu, so Ussej took it upon himself to sacrifice himself for the good of his family and the Bendu. Laili, Kit and Ussej II were devastated, but came to terms with the death of their hero. Ussej was elected a Bendu Saint, an honor that went posthumously to only the greatest of all Bendu. Laili and Kit later died of natural causes. They too were given the honor of being a Bendu Saint.
Ussej II eventually had a son with his beloved wife, Bara ErMez. He named him Ussej Padric Bac III, because the Bendu had decided to name every male member of the Bac Clan “Ussej Padric Bac” in honor of the first. Ussej II and Bara were sent to a planet near the Outer Rim to retrieve and ancient relic but the Mandalorians were there first. Ussej II and Bara were captured and brought to a Mandalorian encampment. They were executed by Mandalore himself.
Ussej III was raised by Neil Rendar, the son of Kit Rendar. Neil had a son named Jos, so they were essentially step-brothers. Ussej III and Jos received Apprenticeship together and became Knights together. Ussej III became a Priest, along with Jos, shortly after meeting Jana DesOrz. He married her in a small ceremony in the Ashlan Mountains.
A few months later, Jana revealed that she was pregnant with triplets. They later found out that it was two boys and a girl. Jana spent a few months with her parents until she headed back for the Temple in her ninth month of pregnancy. But, when she was passing over the mountains, tragedy struck. The shuttle was caught in a snow storm and crash landed in the mountains. Ussej III was informed and he took a medical team to find her. When they got to her, she was very near death. She held on long enough to deliver her children, but one of the boys and the girl had died. The other boy miraculously survived. He was taken by the medical team and was quickly rushed to the Temple. Jana died in Ussej III’s arms that day. He took her and the bodies of his deceased children back to the Temple where they all received a traditional Bendu ceremony.
Years later, Ussej Padric Bac IV had gained Apprenticeship at the age of nine. He began his training under his father, who had not found love again. He didn’t really want to after the death of Jana, but decided that someday he would if the right woman presented herself. He was now busy training his son and was about to start the training of Wes Hohler and possibly Kravin O Prime, but there was something about that young boy that he didn’t like. He sensed something that just didn’t feel right. And, the scariest part was that Ussej IV sensed it as well. They figured it was only a matter of time until an answer would present itself, so they decided not to dwell on the future. But, they both could not help but worry at what was to come....
