Ok heres what ive heard about this one guys Gotham City's crime rate grows even worse, as the former inmates of Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane, as well the employee Dr. Crane, aka Scarecrow, are still at large. The worst of them is Jack Napier, a former comedian who is now a psychotic and unpredictable serial killer who calls himself The Joker, leaving behind a Joker playing card at all of his crime scenes. Bruce Wayne must continue to don the cape and cowl of Batman, as together with his ally Lieutenant Gordon he battles this new threat.
Im not sure if this is exactly true or not guees we will find out in 2008

Adamis, they will have a film with the Joker. Remember, Batman Begins was never intended to match up with the other Batman Films, it was intended to steer away from them. Remember, the Waynes' killer was murdered in Batman Begins, even though the original Batman film revealed that the killer was the Joker. That there opens it up for the Joker.

Yes but would you do a movie that could so easily be compared to another, well loved movie? I sure as hell won't.

Just found this
Warner Brothers has announced its intentions to make a sequel to Batman Begins with most of the film's main cast, including Christian Bale, returning. This would make Bale the first actor since Michael Keaton (who appeared in the first and second movies) to play Batman more than once. At this time, director Christopher Nolan and screenwriter David S. Goyer will be returning for the sequels, though Goyer revealed in an interview that he and Nolan have devised a rough scenario for a trilogy, using The Joker as the antagonist in the second film and Two-Face in the third. Some online sources claimed there would be multiple villains in the sequel, including the Joker and a mysterious young heir that some believed to be Roman Sionis. On August 22nd 2005, producer Charles Roven denied that any villain had been decided upon, and that the reference to The Joker in the film, was intended as a tip of the hat to the 1989 Batman film

My understanding on the whole thing was that the first movie, Batman Begins, was such a success and well received that they were remaking the other Batman movies to go more along with the darker storyline and closer to the comics. It set a new precidence....of course this was all rumors and I could be wrong.

Batman Begins was based on the novel Batman:Year One written by Frank Miller that was much darker than the comic. It was an alternate storyline to the Batman universe.
