Got it about 3 hours ago. I got up at 7am to go and look around, everywhere turned me away because they had only enough for preorders etc. So I came home, and started phoning a few random places. Luckily a few hours later I phoned Dixons in Uxbridge, they had a Core version... well, thats the only bloody thing im guna get this side of Christmas, so I went for it... Im about pissed cos it doesnt have the extras and i havent got a harddrive yet (so i cant save anything) but yeah, overall tis good.
I got Tiger Woods 06, Project Gotham 3 and Call of Duty 2... once I get the harddrive in ill give someone a game on Live.

With the normal Xbox 360, does it let you play the normal Xbox games like kotor or battlefront? I heard only the Platinum with the hard drive let's you..
But awesome, at least you've got it.

You need the hard drive, but you can buy it seperatly. Unfortunatly, everywhere is sold out of hard drives and i cant save my games.

That sucks, I wouldn't be too happy about spending that much money and not being able to save...

I cant say im pleased... but its not really the saves that bother me... Without some kind of data storage device, I cant save my Xbox Live profile, meaning I cant get online. Problem is, nobody knows when there will be more avalible. Amazon.co.uk, says it wont be shipping its headsets and hard drives until Feb 9th.

i'm really hoping for an xbox 360 for xmas, but i'm going to make sure that it's not the core package, but rather the regular one that comes with the hard drive and wireless controller and stuff... anyway i actually had a question here for anyone who already has the system. i've seen on the news and read on microsoft that there were some problems with the screen turning black or the games freezing... is anyone here actually having those problems, and if so, do you think that it'd be better to wait until they get all the bugs worked out before i get one? thanks for any suggestions...

in NH, since we're so small and not even worth it, I heard rumors Toys R Us and Best Buy will be getting a new shipment the week before Christmas...
