X-box pricing set (from game informer)

As of this printing, Micro soft still had'nt announced a release date for it's x-box 360 console, but the company did recently clarify to price points in November.
The X-box 360 Core System will hit the shelves for $299, and befitting its name, is the more stipped down bundle. The Core system features the X-box 360 console, a wired controller, white faceplate, standard AV cable (your origional adaptors wont work) and an X-box live Silver membership.
(silver membership only allows for online chat and access to x-box live marketplace demos and the x-box live arcade. Online play requires a gold membership

for 399, consumers get the x-box 360 premium bundle, which includes the system, a 20 GB hard drive, a wireless controller, white faceplate, headset, universal remote ( limited time only), HD component AV cable, and an exbox live silver membership.
Microsofts decision to offer two price points have angered many gamer, although you certianly can but the xbox 360 for $299, many feel it is a poor value since it does not include the consoles Hard drive ( which is required for backward compadibility, with x-box title)


there was alot more to the artical but Im lazy, I tell you here is a cut and clear case of price gouging.. and the smarter people are starting to complain about it, but its the fucking sheep that are driving this so high

It's pretty sad that they openly charge that much, on the sole reason that they can, and people blindly buy buy buy

though I see a few snags. ok the Core system is $299.99ish, it has pretty much the same things as the premier, with the acception of the hard drive?, thats retarted, and I bet they will sell the hard drive seperate for about *100.00 or more, which means the core system is actually more exspensive

You know if people actually spoke up they would have no choice but drop the price

Right on there. The hard drive is $100, the wireless controller $40 bucks. SO, beleive it or not, it's better to go with the bigger package to save money
