Remer vs. Darick

[Aradan Ather]

Remer sat in the middle of the room, his eyes were closed in deep meditation. Here he waited for the newly returned Jedi, the breeze strongly blowing through his hair as he centered himself with the force.

[Darick]

Darick walked into the dueling arena with his robes trailing on the ground behind him. He offered a polite bow to his fellow Matukai. When returning to his normal stance, his hands each went down and softly gripped his two lightsabers.

"Good day Remer, what are the terms?"

[Aradan Ather]

Remer opened his eyes and smiled.

"Anything but death goes."

Remer then got to his feet, unclasping his cloak and allowing it to fall to the marble floor.

"Ready when you are."

[Darick]

Darick nodded and turned his head to each side. A slight crack sound was heard and he ignited his purple and green lightsaber blades. He jumped at Remer, both blades aimed at striking his chest.

[Aradan Ather]

Moving ever so slightly, Remer seemed to fall backwards in a forward gliding motion, moving straight under Darick as he jumped.

Remer than rose to his feet and turned around.

"Close your mind, your moves will be to easy to read." Remer said, the force flowing freely through him.

[Darick]

Darick decided to not entirely think on the battle. He thought of times at a cantina, making his mind harder to read, hopefully giving him the upper hand. Darick faced remer and attacked, one blade trying to slice his right arm, the other going for his left side.

[Aradan Ather]

"Good!" Remer called out before ducking once again.

He spun on the floor and sweeped at Darick's feet, the force allowing him to target his opponent and focus.

[Darick]

Darick let the attack hit him and he fell downward. On the way though, both his blades aimed at Remer in a stabbing motion, aiming for his chest at an increasing speed.

[Aradan Ather]

In a split-second, Remer's saber was in his hand and activated, it's blue hum suddenly knocking the two sabers out of the way so they'd be off target.

"Good!" Remer said, rising to his feet and attacking again.

[Darick]

Darick's legs kicked up at the air and he landed on his feet. He brought both lightsabers up to engage Remer's and a show of sparks appeared. Darick left it like that for a moment, then pulled his left hand saber out, his right one still attached to Remer's. His left handed saber made a swift attack, aiming for the jedi knight's exposed left side.

[Aradan Ather]

Remer smirked, his leg suddenly shooting up and taking a blow at Darick's left arm, knocking it out of the way. He then balanced on one foot, pushing away the saber lock and swinging his legs sideways directly at Darick's face.

[Darick]

Darick brought his head back and downward. Remer's legs barely miss as they go by Darick's face. He does a backflip giving them some space and twirls his lightsabers, awaiting his opponent to attack for a change.

[Aradan Ather]

Remer twirled the saber lazily in between his fingers, it's blade moving in blurs.

He then got a firm grip on his saber and looked like he was about to attack.

Instead, Remer brought his left hand forward, releasing a powerful force push straight at Darick.

[Darick]

Darick wondered what Remer was doing standing there playing with his lightsaber. The moment he saw his arm begin to raise, he brought his right hand up and matched Remer's force push with one of his own.

[Aradan Ather]

"Good, very good." Remer said, smirking slightly.

Remer did not put his arm down however, he let the force flow freely within him, it roared like a wave within him. Remer then let out a strong wave of the force, letting it flow right through his fingertips.
