Tournament: Kain Lightbringer vs Gadon

[lightbringer]

:: I enter the arena...only Master Dex stands as witness. I sit upon crossed legs, my staff resting across my forearms and meditate waiting for Gadon.....::

ooc: my staff is a six foot long bo staff and is lightsaber resistant and can deflect blaster fire but is non lethal.

[lightbringer]

:: Finishing my meditation I slowly stand and stretch my left leg backward and up toward the center of my neck.. I grip it with my right hand and begin to free my limbs of any stress. The crackling of my bones echos throughout the empty arena... after doing the same with my right leg, I stand hunched over with my arms bent forward and my hands facing out...my spine loosens slightly with a gentle popping sound.::

:: I extend my right foot high into the air parallel to my body, my arms still holding my staff perpendicular to my torso. I begin to slowly slide the staff behind my neck to rest upon my shoulders while I bring my right foot down and swing it swiftly in front of my left creating a suttle spin... touching my right foot to the ground and lifting my left into the air and over my head to come to a sudden stillness, my foot pointing firmly toward the roof of the arena...I hold this postion for several moments before slowly lowering it to the ground.::

:: I thrust my staff forward and then as suddenly as it had shot outwards it was withdrawn behind me... I swing the staff out wide with my right hand and twist it upward with a flick of my wrist... It swiftly cuts the air forming a figure eight before me. I plant my right foot in front and swing my staff down hard and to the right, with lightning speed I bring it high left and then back behind my head and swirl it around to stop suddenly in front of me.. the staff tip trembles with the abrupt stop.::

[Darick]

*The door opens, and Gadon walks in. His mandalorian armor shining in the light. Kain could surely feel his dark presence, but Gadon didn't care*

Ready when you are, jedi .

*He says the word "jedi" with disgust. He had once been a jedi, a fool, but now he was sith, powerful. He returned his attention to the soon-to-be fight, watching Kain*

:: I watch the darkness that was Gadon enter the arena...my heart sank as if it was set up a pit of quicksand...::

"Gadon?.... You are sith? We will leave this discussion for another day...choose the rules your highness ."

[Darick]

*As Kain says highness, Gadon's anger builds up inside him, so much that his following words are being screamed*

Yes I am sith. You wish to have little talk, but all battle? You seem more sith than jedi. As for the rules everything goes, the better to cut open your flesh. Now, ready when you are madam .

[lightbringer]

:: Gadon's words slide off me like rain on a windshield.::

::My gimmer stick lies on the ground before me... I put my foot onto of it and spin it backward putting my left foot under it lifting it softly to my hands...::

:: I calmy walk towards Gadon with my staff resting across my broad shoulders, with both my hands draped lazily over the staff...::

[Darick]

*Realizing that Kain is obviously a fool, Gadon hurriedly rushes at him, while igniting his purple lightsaber. He jumps in the air, performing a backflip, while his arm is in front of him, trying to stab Kain in the chest*

::My plan was to use the darksides weakness to my benefit, Gadon attacks me blinded by rage..he never stopped to think that my stance and demeanor were all a ruse...to lull him into a false sense of superiority, a quality that all sith tend to exhibit...::



:: With lightning speed I spin to my right while rotating the staff off my shoulders, using my bodies spin for momentum I grab the staff near the bottom with both hands and swing it at Gadon's still airborne and rather exposed rib cage with all my might...::

[Darick]

*Almost impossible to dodge, Gadon decides to use force wave on the ground. Hopefully, which will result in Gadon going above the staff. He decided to sitck with this plan. Gadon called upon his anger and unleashed force wave on the ground. He quickly floated up into the air, higher than the staff. He safely dodged the attack. Gadon then performed a back flip, landing a safe distance away from Kain*

Nice try jedi, but let's see how you stop this...

*Gadon unleashes dark side lighting upon himself. A bolt of red lighting comes booming out of the ceiling and hits Gadon. (He is now tremendously boosted in the dark side.) Realizing his power has increased, Gadon charged towards Kain, but far enough so that he couldn't get hurt by the staff. Next, Gadon unleashed a powerful wave of force storm on Kain, thanks to the darkside lightning and Gadon's own strengh*

ooc: When did the Sith decide that force lightning helps darkside jedi? That's the sillyest thing I have ever heard in my life but I'll play along. BTW can I use force push on myself to make myslef grow taller?

:: I stand and watch while Gadon does alot of stuff while I am...I guess just standing here...::

:: After a long break from not doing any actions I use a force push to redirect Gadon's lightning...::

::I then use knights speed and rush Gadon swinging my staff towards his temple...::

ooc: Can I just ask for one favor here...let's do this duel right...you get an action and a reaction...not 5 actions then I get to go. Because what was I doing the whole time will you were casting lightning all over yourself, and then casting lightning on me...In a real duel I would have been all over you the second you landed from your force push. Instead I guess I just stood there and looked stupid!

[Darick]

ooc: I countered, and powered myself up, then attacked. darkside lightning is a Tai-Shueldon move ember taught me. Ask him, I know it's not the name, but the true one is odd and I forgot it. So it DOES power me up...

* As the lightning comes toward Gadon, he holds his saber up and it surges down the blade. A slight after shock is felt, but it's a minor effect. Kain is fast, but not fast enough. Gadon ducks down, dodging the attack. In reutrn, he attacks at Kain's exposed stomach with his lightsaber*

ooc: and it was force storm on you! the lightning ON ME, powers me up... nevermind

ooc: Oh sorry Gadon..I thought force storm was lightning...my bad!

:: I Swing my staff over your head then turn it to point directly at the ground while holding it centered with both hands. I sweep the bottom of my staff inwarding to hook your lightsaber and parrying it harmlessly upward and to my right...

"You have much to learn young one...

I deftly pivot my hips and step into you with the left end of my staff soaring straight for your jaw...::

ooc: shut up, its a stronger version

*In one swift motion, Gadon spins to his right, escaping the staff. While he is there, he quickly grabs his lightsaber from Kain. He then force jumps backwards to safety*

Shall we actually try now? Or was that your best?

[lightbringer]

" Running away eh? Let me aid you in your most noble cause!"


:: I decide to help Gadon's exodus with my own force push, adding to his to send him flying head over heals toward the arena wall...::

ooc: umm, I thought I was on the ground, but oh well...

*As soon as Gadon nears the wall, he regains control. He then plants his feet on the wall, jumping back towards Kain. He stops about a foot away, then swinging at Kain's hip*
