Ok. Currently in America several illegal immigrants make the trek to our soil to have their children and ensure a better life for them as well as obtain government assistance, insurance, etc for themselves. It's starting to become a problem and the Congress is discussing possibly changing the Citizenship by birth laws. Once a child of an illegal immigrant (or any child for that matter) is born upon US soil, that child becomes an American citizen. Because of that very reason, the government must provide for that child and his/her mother (if not the whole family).
I'm interested to hear the opinions on others in this matter. ;D

nope, utterly against anchore babies, don't matter.
you know how many times in NM I have been severly injured, but put on a wait list because of a slew of DWI's with illegal alians, or when they flew the UNM hospitay helecopter 3 hours into SOUTHERN mexico to pick up a alians wife, because he was in a dwi incodent and broke his arm,, and I had higher taxes,, or how many times in my youth I did not get a job because I did not speak spanish,, in AMERICA.. sence when is NEW Mexico..Mexico
May not be too bad in some states, but those of the Americans in Cali, Arazona, NM, and Texas can really tell you how there is so many loop holes for alians, and how shitty it is for anyone who is a citizin, or naturalised

I don't think it should be completely reversed, just put more restrictions on it. The illegal immigrants are taking advantage of this and I feel that it should not be allowed to the extent that it is. I think that if you come here to give birth to your child in the United States then you should be forced to...
a) Get a green card
b) Get a job
c) After a certain amount of time, GET YOUR CITIZENSHIP

Definitely change the laws to keep that kind of stuff from happening. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a racist...I just don't like people who come here illegally.

Well the human rights acts state that:
Article 13
(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state.
(2) Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.
Article 14
(1) Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.
However i think the UK should be more like Australia and ship them off when they come in - only keep immigrants if they are actually of use to the country.
Many migrants in the UK have no job and just claim benefits from the government - which is shite as other people are out at work making their living.
And then you have that Abdul Hamza (spelling) guy who preaches in the streets about how much he hates the country and government etc. I that is so why does he and all his friends bugger off back to their own country.
So i think there should be some sort of limit - not saying completly ban them - just put a limit and try to spread out between other countries

We have the same problem here in NZ. People, mainly from Asia countries, fly down and pay to use NZ birthing suites in hospitals and so get citizenship for their child and at the same time use up the birthing suites so that at times the actual NZers who have paid taxes to pay for the hospital can't get to use them!

I'm not in America but yes, it effects Canada too, we get a lot of illegal immigrants sometimes for health care and such.. But I don't think we should stop them from coming but to keep them in control and all.
We get so much that Toronto is divided into sections of races. Probably a lot of cities are like that but it's bad for Toronto
