I waited in line for 6 and a half hours(But i was third in line!) at my local theater. One of the English teachers from my high school had been there since 2 in the afternoon.

Apparently the midnight showing made 16.5 million alone.

I waited for 2 hours..the line was all the way around the theater, it started raining and of course my girlfriend had just left to go get coffee and the umbrella was in the truck! I didnt even care...I would have stood inline 10 hours.
You havent seen star wars until you seen it at midnight. their was lightsaber duels in the parking lot and everyone was dressed up as their favorite characters. People cheering at ever cool scene. Everyone there was a star wars fanatic...every type of person was there from metrosexual cake boys to big giant nerds to super hot chicks with lightsabers! I had a blast and I am glad I went.

I had a blast and I am glad I went. you would have liked me for AOTC then,, I went as a twi'lek... made latex Lekku and everything with nice nice knotwork tattoos....though I had my replica vader saber clipped on * yeah the $300.00 doller replicas* ; I tecnically wore less that oola, I had air brushed pasties on , but that was about it..... Did'nt to anything for this because I saw it in a private screening room before the release, have not seen the public version, but I have been hearing of some sceens that got cut

Yes, I would have liked that a lot! There was a Twi'Lek there for this one too. She was maybe 15 and she was all pink...was pretty cool. She had like 4 sisters and all were dressed as jedi to match their mother who was atleast 45-50. I just think that is sooo cool! We are all normal everyday people, but we love star wars...we grew up on it, or atleast I did.

I had to go to work during the midnight showing while all my friends went without me.....and KIT *points at the person who made the thread* had to send me a short mail message rubbing in how he was in the theatre waiting for it to start while I was sitting behind my desk at work!!!!
Yes, I haven't forgotten, Kit...lol
