I find that to be quite untrue, now if you mean edited as to be translated into proper english then yes. But the dead sea scrolls date back before the rise of rome or the clash of maceadonia and persia. Meaning the bible existed at least 100 years before the birth of jesus. the gospels of mark, matthew, luke and john were all written about 35ish (or more)years (cant remember for exact) after Jesus died they began to write them because they stopped and thought, hang on a second this guy isnt coming back some time soon and some of the preachers etc are dying out - hence we must write gospels

The gosples where selected by the holy spirit also known as being one of the annointed. (As the bible speaks of) Hence they were chosen and didnt make the gosples out of an idea. Rather they were chosen before the book was even written. But really, why dont we keep this on subject?

Yeah much of it is Jewish, but it is the morals that matter. If you can name two contradictions I prove to you how they are not.

2 i dont agree with - as women deserve to do what they want Deserve? What has womankind done to deserve anything? What has any group done to deserve anything? What we deserve and what we get are two entirely different things, and by law of God this is how a marriage should be conducted, a law you can choose to ignore or choose to live by.

It’s as Orwell predicted, by trying to make all thing equal we are eventually going to bring about our doom. “All Animals are equal… but some are more equal than others.” The thing is, people will be people, society is built to eventually crumble, but the thing I hate is people claiming to be Christians when they ignore the word of God. Here is an example of 2 things, most “Christians” don’t even know or don’t agree with, but it’s in the Bible ladies and Gentleman go look it up. 1) Homosexuality is, wrong. Adam and Eve; not Adam and Steve. Heterosexuality is natural, homosexuality is not. You cannot say Gay marriages are right if you are a Christian, end of story. 2) Now this is the opine that will tug your twister, a wife is meant to serve her husband. Yeah that’s right serve him, and her children. The husband is according to god the dominant one; he makes all the decision and must care for his wife like no other. The wife is meant to care for the family, not be out working (although in some cases this may well be serving.) Yeah but you have to remember that the bible was written 2000 years ago, and you have to remember that faith is based on ones point of view, not what one is told to think. To take every word in the bible literally would be quite foolish. Considering the history of Evolution etc... Oh and the fact that Adam and Eve had 2 sons, Cain and Able, doesn’t sit right with the laws of mating... unless of course, they committed incest with their mother... but of course Leviticus 19 says that would disgrace God. So to take The Bible 100% literally is not a good idea. Yes MEGA is right, the gospel of Luke was written 20-30AD the gospel of Mark was written between 40-60AD and then the other two are reportedly written within 50-200AD.

Point of the matter is, your belife and religon is your business. But when you just out right dont know what you are talking about then you shouldnt take a guess at it.... Thats like jumping off a ledge blindfoldded and not knowing how far the drop is or what you will land on. Now, I do recall this thread being about politics, rather religon.

Listen here my friend, I find your attitude to be quite disrespectful. Me and my friend Paul do not claim to know everything, but we know our fair share infomation. I have been baptized church of england, bought up in a catholic school, tought RE by a nun and I am also a spiritualist. So please, dont start giving me lip. Sabre, Im quite suprised by your literalism.

Yeah, I remember when the Iraqi's were actually training children to fight off United States Troops. I talked to a soldier who was forced to kill a ten year old boy because the child was trying to kill him. The guy was brought to fucking tears. The levels that these Muslim Extremists stoop to make me want to go over there and kill them myself. It's seriously out of control. The americans are sometimes even worst. For instance, did you know that during the siege of Fallujah the american army actually used poison gas and other non-conventional weapons against civilians in the assault? The americans are actually committing some kind of genocide in Iraq. The initial invasion took on the character of a one-sided slaughter, with the world’s strongest military power armed with the most technologically advanced weapons, on the one hand, and a disarmed and virtually defenseless military of a country already devastated by a decade of sanctions, on the other. The hostility of the Iraqi people to the presence of the US military is there in direct response to the brutal methods employed by American troops against the entire Iraqi population. If you dont believe me then check for yourself. A recent study estimated the number of Iraqi deaths since the start of the war in March 2003 at around 100,000. And thathat of course does not include the thousands more who will be dying from disease because of a lack of medical supplies, clean water, or proper sanitation. It does not include the hundreds of thousands that died in Iraq before the war even began from the sanctions. The American Army is committing genocide in Iraq, and that is the intention.
