Have you ever considered that some people are not conservative or republican? Why is it that you have these 2 different parties that both have 2 different views on the country? Why cant people in America watch any new channel without fear of being brainwashed by another parties news channel?  It seems a little strange to me, that you have to be either one or the other... and that nobody in America is allowed to see things neutrally without changing the channels. |

I realize some people are not conservative or Republican. There are also combinations:
Conservative Republican
Moderate Republican
Liberal Republican
Independant
Conservative Democrat
Moderate Democrat
Liberal Democrat
Then, there are also many other third parties such as:
Green
Libertarian
Constitution
Reform
Socialist
Communist
Neo-Nazi
Legalize Marajuana
And, that's just to name a few. So, there are MANY different opinions out there, but they usually sway either left, right or stay in the middle.
You don't have to be one or the other, because there is the Moderates, like me, who can see things from both sides of the spectrum. And, I never said that no one in the United States is allowed to see things neutrally without changing the channel. I just said that is one of my ways of getting the truth of an issue, not the way I formulate an opinion.

Well, I watch Sky News.... what party does that mean I follow? Labour, Torrie, Lib Dem, Green Party or maybe the Welsh Bean Party. |

Dude, seriously, I never said anyone follows a certain party based on what News Network they watch. I was referring to the fact that most media networks are slightly biassed in some form or another.
And, I don't know what political party you are anyway....

He has a point there and the media has nothing to do with it.....france would have nothing to do with the Iraq war and bush ridiculed them...that is a fact. I could also mention that NZ had been trying to get a free trade deal with USA for years but we didn't help them in Iraq and look at who is getting talks about free trade deals now? Australia. Anyway I don't know why people started on the riots in France because when I first read it that wasn't what I got from it. In fact I think this was writen before the riots and was actually based on the "War of Terror" so someone just took that spin on it and turned this into a political thread when it was just for a laugh. But if you are willing to continue then fine, so am I. |
