A thought? Anyone?
Liam, the shades...Ah, well. I will just post my Episode IV synopsis right now. Maybe someone will see it. REMEMBER: Pretend that the OT never happened and only the PT existed. The last bit of knowledge you know of is that Leia went to Alderaan and Luke went to Tatooine. So, without further adu...

P r o l o g u e . . . .ANOTHER galaxy, another time...
The Old Republic was the Republic of legend, greater than distance or time. No need to note where or whence it came, only to know that . . . it was the Republic.
Once, under the wise rule of the Senate and the protection of the Jedi Knights, the Republic throve and grew. But as often happens when wealth and power pass beyond the admirable and attain the awesome, then appear those evil ones who have greed to match.
So it was with the Republic at its height. Like the greatest of trees, able to withstand any external attack, the Republic rotted from within though the danger was not visible from the outside.
Aided and abetted by restless, power-hungry individuals within the government, and the massive organs of commerce, the ambitious Senator Palpatine caused himself to be elected Chancellor of the Republic. He promised to reunite the disaffected among the people and to restore the remembered glory of the Republic.
Once secure in office, the Clone Wars broke out. Palpatine caused himself to be given executive powers. At the wars end, he declared himself Emperor, shutting himself away from the populace. He used his most trusted advisor, Darth Vader, to restore peace to the galaxy. Soon, Palpatine was controlled by the very assistants and boot-lickers he had appointed to high office, and the cries of the people for justice did not reach his ears.
Having exterminated through treachery and deception the Jedi Knights, guardians of justice in the galaxy, the Imperial governors and bureaucrats prepared to institute a reign of terror among the disheartened worlds of the galaxy. Many used the imperial forces and the name of the increasingly isolated Emperor to further their own personal ambitions.
But a small number of systems rebelled at these new outrages. Declaring themselves opposed to the New Order they began the great battle to restore the Old Republic. From the beginning they were vastly outnumbered by the systems held in thrall by the Emperor. In those first dark days it seemed certain the bright flame of resistance would be extinguished before it could cast the light of new truth across a galaxy of oppressed and beaten peoples . . . .
STAR WARS: EPISODE IV
The awesome blue and white planet of Alderaan emerges from a total eclipse, her two moons glowing against the darkness. A tiny silver spacecraft, the Tantive IV, fires lasers from the back of the ship while racing through space. It is pursed by the Empire’s prized flagship; the Super Star Destroyer Avenger. Hundreds of deadly laserbolts streak from the Imperial Star Destroyer, causing the Tantive IV to shake wildly through space. The ships turn and head for the planet. Out of the bowels of the Avenger, a smaller Star Destroyer, reminiscent of the Old Republic Gunships, emerges and heads for the planet. The Avenger moves into orbit.
The two large ships land in a field just outside Alderaan’s capitol city, Aldera. Alderaanian crew members evacuate the ship and head straight for the city. A large platform, carrying hundreds of Imperial Stormtroopers, descends from the large Imperial Star Destroyer. The Empire chases the rebels into the capitol city. The platform ascends back into the ship before lowering again to reveal DARTH VADER, the man formally known as Jedi Master Anakin Skywalker and now Dark Lord of the Sith.
Alderaanian VICEROY BAIL ORGANA watches the battle unfold from his office, located high above the city. On the streets below, the Imperial Stormtroopers are quickly overwhelming the Rebel troops. Darth Vader arrives in the city and fights his way to the capitol building. The troops barge through the blast doors and run up the stairs towards Organa’s office.
Another speeder arrives in the city carrying STARKILLER, leader of the Dark Guards of the Lettow. He makes his way to Organa’s office. Darth Vader is tormenting the Viceroy, demanding that he reveal the location of the Princess Leia Organa. Organa refuses to comply. Vader lets slip the words “my daughter”. This allows Bail to realize that he is talking to the fallen Jedi Knight, Anakin Skywalker. Starkiller takes Organa back to the Avenger. Darth Vader knows that his capture will draw his daughter out of hiding.
Upon arriving on the Avenger, Darth Vader contacts his master, the EMPEROR PALPATINE. He tells him of Viceroy Organa’s capture and the plan to lure the Princess Leia out of hiding. The Sith Lord seems very impressed with his apprentice, the first time in many years. As the hologram fades away, Starkiller can sense Vader’s anger. Vader tells his friend of the inner Sith conflict that has been going on for many years and that he needs Skywalker’s daughter to help overthrow Darth Sidious.

On Coruscant, GRAND MOFF WILUF TARKIN enters the Emperor’s office. He relays that construction on the Empire’s new armored weapon, the dreaded Death Star, is currently on schedule. The Emperor is quite pleased at the news. He knows that with this new weapon, the Empire will be invincible.
On Dantooine, PRINCESS LEIA ORGANA sits in her office. The large structure houses the small band of rebels struggling to restore peace and justice to the galaxy. MON MOTHMA, former Imperial Senator, tells the princess that they have found the location of the Knights of the Bendu. The Bendu were once part of the Jedi Order, but they did not agree with a decision made by the Jedi and broke away. They have been in hiding ever since.
The Avenger sends out a small Imperial Cruiser. The Cruiser lands in the Military Staging Grounds on Coruscant. Starkiller leads Organa out of the ship and in to a speeder. He passes the Emperor who has come to see his apprentice. Sidious and Vader discus how Alderaan is now under complete imperial control and that the planet has been thrown into chaos. The two Sith Lords board a shuttle and blast away towards the Imperial Palace.
On Dantooine, Leia has been informed of her father’s capture. She wants to find a diplomatic solution to the matter. Mon Mothma feels that Leia should stay hidden and avoid attracting attention. Leia tells her to make contact with the Bendu to see if they can help against the Lettow. Leia walks out of the facility, despite Mon Mothma’s advice
Bail Organa is being kept in Coruscant’s Galactic Prison. He appears to be severely beaten. Emperor Palpatine arrive to interrogate him eve more. However, Vader has been asking Organa questions to the whereabouts of the princess. The Emperor, on the other hand, begins to ask him questions about the small band of Rebels that have been forming on Alderaan and Naboo. Organa does not respond to the continuous torture. Starkiller knocks Organa unconscious and throws him into the cell.
The Knights of the Bendu are hiding on the remote Outer Rim world of Kal’Shabbol, the furthest known planet from the Galactic Core. The leader of the Bendu, PRINCE USSEJ BAC, informs his order that he has been contacted by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. He tells them that the Alliance seeks help in their struggle against the Empire. There is much uproar from the Bendu. They feel that it is not their place to get involved in other’s affairs, one of the reasons that the Jedi Knights were destroyed. Bac convinces them to help. He leaves and informs Mon Mothma of their new alliance.
Leia Organa’s shuttle arrives on Coruscant. Upon exiting her shuttle, she is immediately arrested and brought before the Emperor. Palpatine questions her on the location of the hidden Rebel base. He is startled when his mind tricks have no affect on her. Vader tells his master that he will question the Princess further, although that his not his true intention. Emperor Palpatine is still unaware of his apprentice’s motives.
Darth Vader has taken Leia into his chambers. He begins telling her about the Dark Side of the Force and its advantages. He tells her about the secrets of the Dark Side of the Force, and the former Master of Darth Sidious. Leia tries to resist the seduction. Vader moves her into his small chamber. He uses the chamber to remove his helmet. His eyes, the same eyes that Padmé Amidala fell in love with, stare right into Leia’s. The chamber door closes.
Mon Mothma gathers the Alliance in a large assembly room. She informs the Alliance that the Bendu have agreed to help. But, even more disturbing, Leia has been captured by the Empire. GENERAL CRIX MADINE informs the rebels that the Bendu will meet them on Endor, a small rebel planet. The Bendu will attack the Empire and hopefully disband the Imperial presence in the Outer Rim.
QUEEN ARCADIA of Naboo informs Mon Mothma that she will send what fighters they can to help at Endor.
The shuttles on Dantooine begin to load with small squads of Alliance soldiers. On Kal’Shabbol, a few shuttles load up with Bendu Knights. Ships on both worlds lift off and blast away towards Endor. On Naboo, pilots head for their N-1 Starfighters and blast into space. On Coruscant, the Lettow board their ships. Darth Vader and Leia board another ship. Leia seems different.
Aboard his shuttle, Darth Vader is contacted by Emperor Palpatine. He tells his apprentice that if anything goes wrong with the designs, he will hold him personally responsible.
The Alliance fleet drops out of lightspeed. A few of the ships leave the fleet and head for Endor. These ships carry the Bendu Knights, who met up with the Alliance in Hyperspace. Unbeknownst to the Alliance, the Imperial fleet has gathered on the opposite side of the planet.
The Bendu forces arrive at the Imperial base. Soon after, they are ambushed by the Lettow. The Lettow force, led by Starkiller, quickly overwhelms the Bendu force. Within moments, the Bendu’s numbers are at a critical low. A large Rebel army pushes the Lettow back into their base, only to be attacked by the Imperial Armada stationed on the planet.
The Alliance ships are attacked by the Imperial Fleet high above Endor. At first, the Alliance is overwhelmed. But, they begin to fight back. General Madine orders all the fighters to concentrate their fire on the Avenger, hoping to take out Darth Vader with it.
Darth Vader watches the attack on the Avenger from a small shuttle, located far from the battle. He and Leia worry that the Avenger may be lost. Darth Vader orders Tie Fighters to attack the Alliance fighters. Leia asks her father what is so important about this particular base. Darth Vader tells her that the location of the Death Star is hidden here. Leia asks why they would need the location of it when they already know where it is located. To her surprise, Darth Vader reveals that there is more than one Death Star.
A few of the rebel soldiers escape to the far side of the Imperial Base. They plant explosive charges around the room. Most of the facility explodes. The Rebels and the surviving Bendu retreat. Although they did not complete their mission, they know that they at least but a dent in the Imperial presence.
The space battle continues. The Tie Fighters have all but destroyed the Alliance fighters. At the last moment, the Naboo forces arrive and destroy the Avenger.
Darth Vader stumbles backward in his shuttle. He is clearly surprised that the Alliance was able to destroy his prized flagship. The Imperial Commander from the surface informs Darth Vader of what happened. Although three-quarters of the base was destroyed, the plans for the Imperial Super Weapon are still intact.
The remaining Bendu and Alliance forces come up from the planet’s surface. The Alliance fleet jumps to lightspeed.
Emperor Palpatine receives a report from Darth Vader saying that although most of the base was destroyed, the Super Weapon is intact. He also informs his master that the Alliance suffered many losses. Emperor Palpatine is quite pleased.
Outside the Alliance base, the Bendu hold a large ceremony for their fallen comrades. Ussej Bac recites an ancient Bendu prayer. They mourn the dead in a large ceremony that lasts the entire night.
On Coruscant, Starkiller is awarded a medal by Palpatine for his tactical skills during the battle. Leia, who now seems to belong to the Dark Side, is also awarded for leaking the Alliances plans. Emperor Palpatine moves to his apprentice and smiles. He knows that the Bendu pose a threat, but he hides his fear. Their own fates and futures are still uncertain. But the time will come when all will be resolved. It is just a question of how long...
