Dear George, has SuperShadow control of everything about Star Wars now? I'm confused because you seem so willing to hand your life's work over to the reigns of some young guy who's only directed a few documentaries. What gives? Why do you think this guy is so special to make such serious decisions, especially on the new trilogy ten years from now?
It just doesn't seem logical. I'm sure he does have some great ideas, but you hold him up like he's some amazing genius. Also I have a friend who is currently doing well as an actress in independent films. If her agent was to submit her for the new Star Wars (by then she'll probably be well known), would her agent have to submit to Lucasfilm or SuperShadow?
I myself work in special effects for film. Would I have to submit my portfolio to this young dude or a proper company like Lucasfilm if I were willing to work on Lucasfilm projects? I would appreciate your reply on this. Thanks George. Sincerely Hector, UK.
George Lucas: SuperShadow has been an indispensable part of Star Wars for nearly ten years. Shadow helped me write each of the prequel scripts. His ideas have made Star Wars much better. He is the only person I trust to continue Star Wars. You need to understand that I’m getting too old for this blockbuster film making. I’ve lost interest in making big-budget films. If Star Wars is to continue, then Shadow will have to do all the work. I’m not going to invest another ten years of my life in Star Wars. There is more to life than that galaxy far, far away.
Your friend and yourself need to submit your portfolios directly to Lucasfilm. Shadow will control the production, but my people at Lucasfilm will still be in charge of hiring the actors and special-effects people. I wish you the best for the future.
At least this guy has a brain, and he can submit his portfolio to LucasFilm labelled 'To Supershadow', he he. Screwed, SuperShadow is.
