Rayz Manx had been drifting about in space for what felt like weeks (it had really only been a few days), with no real destination in mind. There were many people in the galaxy who wished him harm, or who simply wished to profit from his death, and at the moment he was in no mood to pick a fight. The supplies in his shuttle were beginning to run low however, so he needed to find a port in the Outer Rim where he could put in to resupply, refuel, and possibly find some work. Although Rayz had no problem spending time alone to reflect on experiences past, he began to grow bored. He then noticed on his navigational display a marker noting a planet that to his knowledge, he had never visited before, the planet Mygeeto. The climate readout stated that the planet was a frigid world of crystallized ice with a few scattered settlements inhabited mostly by members of the InterGalactic Banking Clan. Although relatively intemperate to his tastes, Rayz decided that this was as good a place as any to put in and have a look around.
Rayz brought his ship in to a port near the outer edge of the nearest settlement. The port authority asked him some basic questions regarding his visit, such as name, reason for visit, etc., but Rayz had handled these questions on countless occasions, so he listed his name as Sheik (an alias he often used), and described his reason for visit simply as "shopping for rare Outer Rim merchandise". He docked his shuttle and dropped a few credits to the port authority to avoid any additional questions. After that, Rayz had but one objective on his mind...
As Rayz stepped from the enclosure of the port on his way to the city, he felt the vicious bite of a bitterly cold wind. He wrapped himself tightly in his jacket, and entered the first cantina that he came to. As he entered, the warmth inside made him feel instantly better. He subtly scanned the few patrons in the bar, the majority of which were of the Banking Clan. There were also members of a few races of which he was not familiar, but he assumed that they were simply from nearby systems on business. He sat down at a secluded table in the corner, as he always did, and ordered a local whiskey. After handing the waiter a sum of credits that was surely twice what the bottle was worth, the waiter left the bottle on Rayz's table, and left him in peace. Although his surroundings hinted nothing at the prospect of trouble, Rayz had been accustomed to troublesome situations developing pretty much wherever he went. Because of this, he kept his hand free and ready to pull his blaster, while keeping a constant watch on the other patrons in the cantina. With a deep breath, he tried his best to relax...

*Kakashi walks in and sits across from Rayz.*
"So we meet again eh?"

"Nice that you're not putting a blade to my neck this time, Kakashi," Rayz said slyly. "So what brings you to this wonderfully frigid block of ice?"

Rayz motioned to the waiter to bring another glass to the table. Although he had no problem drinking alone when he was well, alone, any person sitting at a table with him deserved to have a drink in front of them. The waiter brought the glass, and Rayz placed it in front of Kakashi. He poured the glass full of the whiskey that he had been drinking, and waited relaxedly for his response to Rayz's question.

OOC: Sorry I took so long. Mau slinked into the cantina, swagerish stride carrying her to the the bar where she waisted no time in ordering a drink and settling down on one of the stools, eyes roaming over the other patrons. Places like this were job oppertunities, for one like her. And one of them could be a prospective employer... though from the look of the lot, she didn't think she wanted that overly much. True, her buisness wasn't entirely honest, but non the less she had her morals. And she was willing to bet that most of the people here didn't share that trait. "Mmm. Well, more relaxation for me then." She murmered, sipping at her drink.

ooc: no prob about the delay. i'm just glad that i've recruited someone else to join me on my thread. Rayz noticed the attractive woman enter the bar. He had already drank half of the bottle of whiskey sitting in front of him, and although would normally just keep secluded in the corner of a cantina like this one, he felt that she looked nearly as out of place as he did. He stood slowly, and discreetly sat next to the woman at the bar? "I'd never have expected to see someone like you stumble in to a bar like this," said Rayz. "What're you drinking to stay warm this evening?" Rayz smiled slightly and took another swig from his glass.

Mau turned to stare at Rayz, amusment obvious.
"Is that some sort of clumbsy come on?" She arched an eyebrow, setting her drink down on the bar.
"Cute. It's ale, if you must know. And I'm Mau, by the way."

Rayz chuckled to himself and said to Mau, "Wow, we're quite forward, aren't we?" It was not often that Rayz ran in to anyone, much less an attractive woman like Mau who was that outspoken. He found the change of pace quite refreshing. "I'm Rayz, by the way," Rayz stated as he again scanned the cantina for any hint of actions that could prove to develop in to a dangerous situation. Seeing none, he decided to continue his conversation with Mau with the hope of finding out what would bring someone like her this far outside the core systems. "So what would you say if I said yes, that was an attempt at a come-on... I haven't seen anyone of your... calibur... in here since I came in, and I didn't want to lose the chance to talk to you at least a little..." Rayz felt a bit foolish in this puerile attempt at conversation, but he tried very hard to hide his discomfort. And even though there would not likely be anyone here looking for him, he needed to keep tabs on the other patrons of the cantina, just in case... Being in Mau's presence however, made his concentration on the happenings around him quite a bit more difficult. She had a hypnotizing effect about her that Rayz didn't even notice that he'd fallen under the spell of. He took another long drink of his whiskey, and anxiously awaited a response from Mau.

"I would say that it was a very good attempt and mildly tempting. However, I'd also have to decline. I don't have time for romance, in any shape or form." She grinned, a lopsided and almost childish expression.
"Kudos for trying."
She eyed him a moment, taking note of his apparent nervousness. "Why so on edge? I don't bite, promise."

"Why so on edge?" Rayz repeated the questions asked of him. "Let's just say that I'm not used to being in an environment where I don't have at least a chance of having someone trying to bring my life to an early end."
Rayz thought about what he had just said, and wondered if he had possibly revealed too much...
Rayz, slightly embarrassed by what Mau had said about his pass at her said, "So feeble attempts by myself at romance aside, what brings you to this wonderfully inhospitable block of ice?"

Mau arched an eyebrow at his explanation, but let it drop. She more than understood how he felt.
"Buisness." She said in responce to his question. "Rather, lack of buisness."

"Well it looks as though our reasons for visit to Mygeeto are quite similar then," stated Rayz. He decided that although people in his line of work were not often trustworthy, he might be able to use this opportunity to profit both of them. "If you're looking for work, I might possibly have an option that could be profitable to both of us..." As he spoke, plans to get Butar the Hutt off his back formed quickly in his mind. Rayz would have to get an idea of whether or not Mau was as good as she seemed to be first though, because infiltrating a Hutt's stronghold was certainly not an easy task...

"Is that so?" She smirked, leaning against the bar.
"Well, it depends entirely on the job. And the nature of the profit."

"Before we talk business, I'd like to get to know you a little better. Familiarity is a basis of trust, and a small amount of trust will be absolutely necessary for what I had in mind."
"Why don't we sit somewhere a little more... private..." Rayz subtly motioned toward a vacant table in a dark corner of the cantina. He indicated to the bartender to pour another ale for Mau. He picked up both her drink and his, and began to move toward the table he had indicated, all the while keeping a tight sense of any change in tension or emotion in the cantina, or more specifically, from Mau.

"Alright, Fly boy. If you insist."
Mau followed him over to the indicated table and flopped down on a chair, leaning her elbows on the table's surface.
"So... what do you want to know?"
