Prince Rahj stood looking above the sandy village of Teneer, a the Teneer were a small clan of villagers who rarely had contact with outsiders. Rahj looked up hearing the sounds of people running down the hallway and opening his door.
The soldiers at the door bowed deeply to their lords son. "Prince Rahj, you are requested to meet with the council at once. The matter I believe is about your recent actions."
Rahj just nodded, he was nervous. He was going to be punished harshly. He had killed a man earlier this day. Even though it was self-defense, killing someone was forbidden in his land and was punished with immediate death.

Rahj was to be trialed before the council made up of many diplomats and his father. The trials take place in front of the entire city having everyone watch him be sentenced to life in prison, or worse, just added to the anxiety.
The soldiers cuffed Rahj. "Sorry sir. Is this too tight?"
Rahj just ignored the soldier and they proceeded on. He could hear the thunderous chants of the millions of citizens hoping for bloodshed of some kind. Rahj's people had a colleseum dedicated to many blood sports.
As the group went through the doors Rahj was blinded by the lights of fire set up to observe the meeting. Groups cheered on site of him. Rahj was brought to a circle that was made of smeared blood. Before him sat the grand table of the 7 council members, in the middle was the highest chair of his father, Yundell.

Rahj knew his trial was about to begin and knew it wouldn't be pretty. Rahj stared every council member in the face seeing there rock hard expressions staring at him, the thing that hit Rahj the most was his father's face. He was staring at Rahj with cold eyes that yet seemed to burn with intensity.
One of the council members stood to his feet and cleared his throat. "We of the Teleerian Council under the clan mark: Liu. Have agreed to hear the trial of Prince Rahj-Liu. He is being trialed for killing a man earlier today. As anyone knows that the punishment for bloodshed on our lands our very crucial and know royalty shall be spared any mercy and will feel the full blow of the council's power."
The Council man sit down and motioned towards another member.
Other Council Member: "Now, Prince, why again did you lash out at this man."
"He had discraced my family and the Liu clan. He also tried to steal my dagger and when I prevented him from doing so he attacked me."
There was some discussion between the members. Rahj's father stood like a statue.

Another Council Member stood and made himself stand tall.
"Now, now, Prince. Couldn't you have reasoned with this man? Were there no solutions besides stabbing him?"
"Well-"
"Well what my prince? You defied the clan Liu and you should in turn be killed and your inards should be paraded through the street."
"But-"
"BUT WHAT! Have you know self-control? To speak with insolence to the council is another thing we need not add to your trial. Now how will we judge him?"
The prievious member sat down and up stood another member.
Other member: "I suggest death by Krayt Dragon."
member 1: "Now now let's be reasonable. I say impriosonment for life."
The council starts to argue for long hours upon what to do with Rahj until on finally stands up.
member 2: "Exile. Why not eject him from our land and make sure he never returns? Give him the mark of the traitor? I know we have not exiled someone in yearsa but it is the only thing that I can think of."
The council praises him in agreement and then once again another and final member stands up.
member 3: "We the Teleerian Council under the mark of: Liu. Trial, Prince Rahj-Liu into exile. Under these conditions he will ahve his name seperated from the clan he is now known as: Rahj Liu being given a last name. Also he will be branded with the traitor mark of the Teleerian and sent from this land. Third and most important, he will be brough to the nearest city never again to return to this land under any circumstances. The council has spoken."
Rahj sat dumbstruck. His mouth hanging open in pure astonishment. He didn't notice the soldier come behing him with the brand and stick the hot metal onto his flesh and make the mark of the traitor.
Rahj looked up to his father. He was smiling! Why was he smiling? Rahj blacked out half from thpain, half from the disbelieving of what happened.
