OOC: it's probably more suitable here.
*Kneeling in silent meditation, Devlen attempted once more to silence the frustrated anger that was building in him. Why had the Jedi brought him here? They had seemed at first interested in his bloodline, then pushed him aside to tackle the next problem, and he was left standing in the foyer without an answer. It was incredibly irritating to be forgotten, and Devlen couldn't stand it...Why didn't anyone pay attention to him. He sighed and stood up. He obviously wasn't going to get any mental quitness today...he was too angry. Walking over to a drinking fountain, he slurped at the water, rubbing his chin on the rough grey-brown cloak he now wore, then turned and headed for the weapon training room. The Jedi still didn't trust him to have a blade outside of the containment fields of the training rooms, and he had felt naked without his Katana. Maybe it would soothe him merely by touching it again...*

*Arlon had been walking the corridors of the Jedi academy, when he had sensed the distress of a padawan. He found this padawan at a fountain and approached him, laying a hand on his shoulder.*
"May I help you, my boy?"

*Devlen jumped at the heavy hand on his shoulder, then whirled around. Always suspicious, Devlen hated the sense of touch...for some reason he felt extremey sensitive to him, and the hand felt like a ton of bricks on him. As he whirled around, his eyes locked with the Master's, and, unwillingly, he felt his Force aura surge outward, splashing against the Jedi's consciousness in a wave of Force energy.*

*Arlon stumbled back slightly, not very much phased. Something was brewing inside this boy, something that could not be released, for the sake of the galaxy. His father had been like this as well... A mad man at his old age, but with this happening so early, it wasnt a good sign.*
"What is wrong?"

*Devlen stared at him, looking at the JEdi with curiosity. So this was the son of his father betrayer...interesting. Suddenly, he had the urge to pull it out of his pocket, but resisted. He would do that later. He quickly composed himself, then bowed to the Master.*
"Master...Kyjar? I was looking for the training room and managed to get lost in this maze of a temple. I was wondering if you could point me in the appropriate direction."
*A quick, if unbelievable explaination, DEvlen was too busy in though to really pay attention to what he was saying at the time.*

ooc: Grandson. *Arrogance shone brightly through this one's thoughts. He knew that his father did not stay on the path of the light for the duration of the great war, but that was no reason for the hate to be passed down in generations. He expected it from the Madet line, but not from the Del-Arshu's. He pointed in the direction of the training facilities.* "That way."

ooc: oops! ;D
*Devlen bowed, then a question rose in his mind...he wouldnt mind attempting it.*
"Master Kyjar, would you happen to have time to help me train in combat?"

"I could. A friendly spar couldnt hurt. Follow."
*Arlon turns around and begins to walk towards the training room. He knew this boy would try to do something to him, but he might as well be a good master and teach.*

*Devlen followed cautiously. The suspicion this JEdi held was intriguing...Obviously Devlen was underestimating this one. He then realized his stupidity. This was a Jedi Master. If he wanted to read his thoughts, there was nothing Devlen could do about it...for now. He continued following the master, his fingers brushing the small item in his robes, like it was a pet. Master Arlon had probably never heard of the Black Box.*

ooc: You better not... *Arlon walked into the training room and went to the farthest area, waiting for Devlen to stand opposite him. He had already his lightsaber ignited, ready for the teaching to begin.*

OOC: who...me? *Devlen walked over to the weapons locker, typing in the code and pulling out a training saber. He never really understood how people could fight with these things...they were awfully unbalanced due to the lack of a solid blade. Nevertheless, he entered the ring and ignited the blade...a sickly yellow which made the apprentice grimace. He raised the blade up in front of him, as one would with a sword, and waited.*

"Tell me, Devlen, did you learn any lightsaber techniques from your father, or anyone else. Other masters perhaps?"

*Devlen frowned at the question. How the hell was he supposed to andswer that?*
"I...uh...'learned'...Makashi from my father before his death, but i've never used it. I also know some of...Sh-Chi or whatever it's called, but it seems pretty standard, so i never paid much attention to it."

"Shii-Cho, yes, but it can be very useful when the time arrives. I am not suprised you have mastered Makashi, though I will not discuss your past, it does seem to disturb you so. Would you like to learn some more forms?"

*He thought it was a little mean, but Devlen did it anyway. He wanted to see Arlon's reaction.*
"My father always was poud of your grandfather's mastery of Ataru. I would like to see what I can do with that form."
