BTC Fleet Launch (ask)

*Sitting in the command room, Anton ordered the comms officer to relay his reply*

"Well done, your destination is Cato Neimodia. Good Luck."

Cato Neimodia. Krypten had never been there before. Relaying the destination to the pilot droid, Krypten watched as the fleet began prepping for hyperspace. The command ship trembled as the drive kicked in. Within seconds, the entire fleet was on route...

*The Companies first major undertaking had been set in motion, Anton was pleased at the progress he had made in such a short space of time. His personal droid poured him a glass of the finest wine money could buy, sipping it lightly Anton felt happy yet there was something missing..... he couldnt quite place it but something bothered him. A feeling dissatisfaction played in his mind, mentally waving away such thoughts he took another drink.*

A few hours into the flight, an alarm began blaring. Immediately alert, Krypten leapt to his feet. "Commander. What's going on?"

"Sir, We are being pulled out of hyperspace." the command droid responded.

"Dammit." Krypten opened a comm to all the ships in the fleet. "All crews to battle stations. The cargo ships are to be protected at all costs."

It was now time to find out if the droids were worth all the money they spent on them...

Alarms continued to sound as the droids raced to their posts.
"Begin charging the guns."
As the fleet came out of hyperspace Krypten scanned the surrounding space for intruders. Off to the left, came a small fleet of pirates ships consisting of 4 small frigates, 1 large frigate, and what looked to be 50 small fighters. As the fighters closed in, Krypten gave the commmand: "Open fire."

The BTC frigates' guns roared to life as the pirate fighters moved in to engage the convoy. Krypten watched as the first wave of fighters was repelled with laser fire. It seemed as though the droid gunners were worth every credit. The pilots began moving the frigates to protect the cargo ships as the larger pirate vessels began moving in.

The droid pilots were acting almost in unison. The frigates arrayed themselves around the convoy, the guns forming an almost inpenetrable wall of laser fire. The pirates' frigates were forced to break off their own attacks as they made no ground on the convoy. Krypten radioed the BTC technicians on the other ships for a status report.
As their reports filtered in, Krypten was pleased to hear that all droids were performing at optimal levels. A quick glance at the holomap of the battle showed that pirate fighter losses had now reached 68%.

[Masuko / Luna]

*Just at that moment a large ship of unknown configuration dropped out of hyperspace. It had to be twice the size of a capital ship. It began to fire upon the pirate frigates with devistating accuracy..*

[Kapar'in Va]

Krypten leapt to his feet. "What was that? I want a status report immediately."

There was a moment of confusion on the bridge before one of the crew responded. "An unknown vessel has joined the battle. It appears to be friendly though. It is driving back the pirate vessels. Shall I open a channel to them?"

"Yes. Immediately."

The comm hissed to life as a message was sent to the new vessel.

"This is Krypten Jeth aboard the BTC command vessel Condor Dragon. Please identify yourself.

----comm----

[Masuko / Luna]

*An image appears on the holo-pad briefly.*

Protection is assured.

*The image fades and the gigantic ship finishes the battle with the pirate frigates, destroying them entirely. Once this is done the ship cloaks. It is not possible for the BTC to track it's movement or even know if it has gone into hyperspace.*

"Sir, the ship has completely vanished off our scopes."

Krypten could only stand there in shock. Whomever was commanding that ship had armed it well. The pirate frigates had been decimated. He looked over the holomap again. The droid was correct. there was no sign of the mysterious vessel.

"Have all ships resume convoy position. Continue on to Cato Neimodia as planned. I must contact Lord Byrax." Turning on his heel, Krypten stalked from the bridge to his private quarters to contact his boss.

[Anton Byrax]

*Having returned from the Company dinner, Anton sat back in his office. Sefu came over the office comm.*

"Sir, you have an incoming transmission."

"Send it through, and make sure iam not disturbed."

[Kapar'in Va]

The holo-comm in Anton Byrax's office sprang to life as an image of Krypten Jeth appeared.
"Lord Byrax. I feel you should be updated. We were ambushed by pirates. The droids performed perfectly. We suffered no damage to any ships. There was one...interesting thing to note. We were aided by a mysterious ship, possibly the same one who contacted you. This ship appeared out of nowhere, decimated the remaining pirate vessels and then vanished. I attempted to open a communication to them and recieved only this."

He entered a commmand and the message from the mysterious woman played for Lord Byrax.

"All further attempts to contact or track the ship were unsuccessful. We are now back on course for Cato Neimodia."

[Anton Byrax]

"Magnificent, your skills in programming are as good as your combat abilities. You have saved my Fleet from Pirates already.....hhmmm pirates...that was dammed bad luck... Mystery ship you say? I shouldnt worry about that. What is clear to me is that YOU did your duty and performed admirably.
Continue on to Cato Neimodia, have the cargo there loaded and head back home."

*Mystery Ship indeed, thought Anton.*

[Kapar'in Va]

"Thank you sir. I will contact you again once we have reached Cato Neimodia." The holo comm faded and Krypten headed back to the bridge. Lord Byrax didn't seem too concerned with the mysterious ship that had aided them, so Krypten pushed it from his mind, worrying more about making sure they reached their destination.
