Answers from the General (Jedi &NPC General Tanib)

Great sorrow filled the lined face of the general as he oversaw the effort to remove the fallen soldiers and senators from the Senate building. The Jedi were also working diligently in the effort. Counselors were sent over to speak with the victims involved in the horrors and remaining troops were helping keep the reporters out while also securing the area as a full investigation was underway. All of this was too much on the general though as he excused himself from the effort and sat down. Pulling a flask from out of his uniform pocket, he took a few swigs and rubbed his grimy hands over his face.*

"This wasn't supposed to happen. Everything was clear....or would have been...."

*He slammed his fist into a speeder in frustration. No doubt the Jedi would come with questions now about this whole incident.*

*Carith returned to the Senate building all beat and banged up,his cloak was ripped slightly and his arm had a small gash in it which blood trickled frrom it slowly,not much though,as he entered he threw down the Vibro blade,and began to walk along the halls observing the devistation of this incident,his boots clumped against the floor and his tarnished cloak swayed in the air,he stopped in the hall as all the soldiers were helping the wounded to saftey and the dead out,Carith looked around,he awaited to see what the Masters were goig to say and do*

OOC: Sorry, dear. Sabre just said yesterday you could continue the investigation alone.

General Tanib gathered his composure again and smoothed his scortched jacket while heading back into the debris and mayheim inside. He looked for the Jedi not wanting to delay the inevitable now. Seeing just such a Jedi he walked up to him and saluted.

"General Tanib, at your service. I was the commander in charge here."

He had a stiff upper lip and his chin moved in what could only be suppressed anger at the incident.

*Carith turned general tanib and bowed to him,his cloak covered most of his body as he bent over,his hair draped over his face covering his expretions of the incident that just occured,he rose up from his bow looking into the generals eye*

"I am Carith Korso,Prowd Knight of the Jedi Order,It is nice to meet you General...You wouldnt mind if i took a look around to find any evidence these Assasins might have left would you?"

*Carith looked around the room,he looked up seeing the platform him and the Well trained assasin faught,he would like to start where the assasins came from...Up top*

"Not at all. Be my guest though finding anything but blood and rubble will be hard to do. I'll be checking in on my injured men in the triage area outside the hallway."

*He slowly turned and headed back towards the triage area concerned about the men he had lost and that were injured in this event. If he found the persons responsible for this, he would kill them himself. He dreaded the calls he would have to make to notify families of their losses.*

*Carith turned away then looked back at the General swiftly,he was going to ask about the chancellor but Tanib had already made his way down the hall,Carith turned away and continued walking stepping over rubble and some Dead men,the carnage was massive due to two people,They were both Force Sensitive and used the Force well in combat,as well as there sabers,he studied the area,looking upon the faces of injured and dead men,flashbacks jumped through his head screams of the men he couldnt save as he faught the well trained assasins,he could still feel there taint,the taint of the Darkside upon the place, he approached his place where he was first where the assasins struck from he stood in the spot the chancellor stood when they jumped out of no where,he looked up studying the upper area,there was carnage below as well as dead bodys slumped around*

"Now what would these two be thinking whe they attacked"

*Carith mummbled to himself still studying the area,he began to walk up to the place where he encountered the Assasin,he looked upon the floor seeing his own saber chopped in two,it was a clean cut through the center of his hilt,he then thought again,THE POISEN,he rememberd the poisen and how he saved the chancellor,it could give some clue,how it was made,who it was made by,what ingrediants it had,there was sure to be a hint of it left in the chancellors blood...moments later he made his way back to the general,he approached and looked at him*

"General,is there any possible way you can get one of your men to get a blood sample of the chancellor and get it tested to find out about the poisen,if possible i want to know every ingrediant"

The general turned around to face the man and then looked up towards one of the medical officers. He uttered some command that was hard to understand in his gruff voice. Soon enough though one of the doctors that had been pulled to come in and set up here while they found a more permanent space for housing the wounded approached.

"Doctor, we need a sample and chemical analysis of the Chancellor's blood. Was by any chance any kind of testing done already while trying to counteract the toxin?"

*The doctor scratched the top of his head and nodded slowly.*

"Analysis was done shortly after he was stabilized. If you'll both follow me, I'll show you what we've found out so far."

The doctor led the way out into the lift that would take them below to the lounging area and personal area of the Supreme Chancellor. A medical droid was still tending to the SC and improvement was already being noticed. Color had been restored to his face and he seemed to be coming alert again. A makeshift lab table was set up on one of the counters in the room having obvliously come from one of the metal containers the doctor had brought with him.

*The doctor led them into another room and pulled up the results from the analysis of the sample.*

"Everything seemed to be in order except for a strange substance we found. It was a synthesized toxin that is readily available to bounty hunters who are willing to pay for such an effective toxin. Needless to say, many just resort to other methods except in high profile assassinations. These people had to know what they were doing."

*Carith followed into the room where the medical supplies were,he followed closley behind the general and the doc,he listened to the Doc disscuss the effects of the chemical and what it was used for,Carith thought for a few moments on the subject,he stroked back on his hair pulling it back behind his head*

"Do you have any idea of what the toxin is?...or where it was made?"

"It's called Dioxinase. The only place I've heard of it manufactured and sold before is from Ord Mantell."

*The doctor looks up at the Jedi and crosses his arms in front of him.*

*The frown on the general deepens.* "Only the filth of the earth and those wanting to hide go to Ord Mantell. Bounty hunters and smugglers alike frequent that place with their black market goods."

"Then they have probably visited Ord Mantell before,Do you have any idea who manufactured it?"

*Carith thought upon this while awaiting a reply*

*The good doctor shook his head no at the question.*

"Only those who are deep in the underground can buy things like this. It isn't just available on the streets for purchase. Someone has to have good contacts and a heavy purse."

*He turned to the Jedi again.* "The Republic has called upon mercenaries before to do work behind the lines like sabotague. We might be able to send one in if he was paid well."

*Carith thought fora breif moment,it would definantly be risky to send someone in but he didnt think there was another way to find out*

"I think we should send someone in to find out about these dealings,this matter shouldnt be taken to lightly"
