Building the Business

[Anton Byrax]

*After returning to Naboo Young Anton relaxed for several days, during which time news of Celrek neldres' Death came through. Sending his condolences to the family of the Bespin delegate, Anton felt no remorse for his actions. It had been necessary to remove the man from his dealings quickly.
Now things were moving forward, each of the investors had deposited large sums of money into the company account and Anton now had only to purchase his new fleet and the Security forces required to protect it.*

*Having changed for his journey, Anton stood wearing a brilliant white tunic and breeches plus his black boots. A blood red cloak was draped over his shoulders, he rearranged his belt slightly so that his sheathed sword and pistol holster sat better.
The Subjugator was ready for departure and Anton contemplated Taking His new aide along, as to perhaps strike a more lucrative deal with the ship merchants at Honogar.*

Krypten strode into the hanger and bowed to his employer. "Forgive my delay, Lord Byrax. I am ready to leave when you are."

Krypten had polished his armor, though it was designed to camoflage him and would never shine. His sniper rifle was strapped across his back and his vibroblade and blaster pistol hung from his belt.

"Good, you will travel with me to the Honogar System where iam to puchase my Fleet. I hope they are prudent enough to give me a fair price....."

*Boarding The Subjugator Anton sat in the luxury compartment and poured a drink for himself while offering the Mandalorian to take one aswell.*

Krypten followed Lord Byrax onto the Subjugator and joined him in the luxury compartment. Taking his drink he remained standing near the bar. He wasn't going to presume equal standing with his employer and would only sit if offered. "Thank you, Sir. I think we will be able to persuade them to see things our way." With his helmet off, the gleam in his eye was easily seen. "And then it is off to Eos to purchase the droids?"

"Well that is the plan, yes. And in the name of Vaul sit down man.... I employ you not for your social graces but for your skills in combat. You need not stand around like some lowly Serf."

*The ship took off and rose from the orbit of Naboo, entering Hyperspace Anton sent a messege to the Administrator of Honogar of his imminent arrival.*

"Thank you Sir." Krypten replied as he sat down. As the Subjugator jumped into hyperspace, Krypten's mind turned to the droids they would be purchasing. "Have you given any thought to how many droids we will need to ensure adequate protection?" he asked.

*Thinking on the question Anton raised an eyebrow.*

"I have estimated that we should need one frigate for every four Freighters, a company of 40 battle droids per frigate should be ample for repelling any attempted boarding actions. With the funds available i'm thinking we can purchase thirty or so freighters to start with eight of which will be super heavy. Perhaps with your military knowledge you could give your own estimate on the protection required for such a fleet?"

Krypten pondered the question for a moment before answering. "Shipwise, I think one frigate will be plenty to protect 4 freighters. As for the droids, I would like a chance to inspect them before I offer an opinion. Depending on their craftsmanship, we may not need that many, but 40 sounds like a reasonable number." Krypten paused for a moment and took a sip of his drink. "Will we be using droids as pilots or gunners? In my experience with the Mandalorians, we rarely used them, instead relying on the quick thinking of our fellow soldiers. But perhaps it might be better to rely on droids to pilot the ships. They can be programmed with multiple evasion tactics and would be less likely to panic."

"The quality of the Droids will be the determining factor on how many are required of course, i think having droid crew for the frigates will be advisable. When dealing with expensive cargo we must ensure that there is a minimum risk of corruption within our ranks. We could allways include a skeleton crew to ensure there are no problems with the droids.

*Finishing his drink, Anton checked the message which had just came over the holo comm. It was the Admin of the ship yards on Hongar he seemed very upbeat at the thought of an easy transaction, perhaps he was to confident fror his own good Anton thought and smirked.*

"I had not even thought about crew loyalty." Krypten admitted. "That was not something we had to deal with much."

Krypten also picked up the tone of shipyard Administrator and a small surge of battle lust surged through him, though Krypten quickly suppressed it. It would not due to ruin this meeting with any stupid actions. Lord Byrax would certainly not hesitate to defend his business.

"The negotiations must be done with some restraint, you are merely a visible deterrent here to ensure that these scoundrels dont dare think about givng me anything but the best possible deal. They are likely to have some form of security there and it wont do to get embroiled in any kind of Incident."

*Time past and they were nearing their destination, The noble checked his atire and had another drink.*

"Of course, Lord Byrax. I would never jeopardize your business ventures. I was merely reacting to the administrator's tone. He would do well to remember who he is dealing with."
Krypten saw that they had almost reached Honogar. "How heavily armed would you like me? I am not sure how much use a sniper rifle would be in a firefight, but it certainly is intimidating."

"I suspect that Intimidation is all that will be required here. You must understand that iam an honorable man, i will pay a fair price for these vessels but i will NOT be taken advantage off."

*The Subjugator broke from hyperspace and sped towards the small orbital station above Honogar, upon reaching it they were diverted to the planets Surface. Coming in to land Anton could see the welcoming commitee that had gathered, Nervous were they? his mind ticked over that could work to his advantage.*

*There was the usual hiss from the boarding ramp as it opened, Anton strode out across the landing bay to where Ti'k Shan the Ship Merchant stood. *

"Greetings, Anton Byrax. It is a pleasure to finnaly meet you"

*Looking nervously over Anton's Shoulder, at the heavily armed Mandalorian.*

"You wont need your bodyguard, i assure you it is quite safe here."

*It seemed that the subtle intimidation was working, Anton tried not laugh and instead turned his smile into a warm greeting of his own.*

"We share your sentiments with regards to our first meeting, I have been looking forward to this my friend....
You need not worry about Krypten there, he is not my bodyguard but my Personal Aide. Although he does take to his duties rather zealously."

*Looking quite puzzeled Ti'k Shan nodded in agreement.*
