*Anton tried to relax in his office but everywhere he looked he saw his aide Grent, a man he had known since he was a child. A man he had been unable to save.
The loss of a ship would normally have been a hard blow but it was simply a consequence, Anton had retrieved the payment and to his knowledge had got away scot free.*

*It was time to look forward not back, he told himself.*

OOC: set on Naboo

[Kapar'in Va]

With much of the Order busy dealing with the aftermath of the attack on the Supreme Chancillor, many of the Padawans were forced (no pun intended!) into duty dealing with affairs around the galaxy. It was this reason that Kapar'in Va found himself traveling to Naboo. There was not a lot of information in this case, a ship in orbit above Nar Shaddaa had been destroyed. Kapar'in frowned as he reread the data pad. "Probably some sort of gang attack" he thought to himself.

He glanced up as the pilot informed the transport that they would be arriving in Naboo shortly. Kapar'in's first stop was the Byrax Trading Corporation. The transponder code of the destroyed ship showed it to be owned by a Naboo nobleman.

Once the transport had docked, Kapar'in made is way towards the BTC's main office. He hoped that Anton Byrax would be there.

As he entered the office, he was greeted by a receptionist. "Greetings. I am Kapar'in Va. I am here to see Lord Byrax."

*The comm came to life on Antons desk, the receptionist spoke furtively.*

Recption:- 'Sir, there is a person here to see you.'

Anton:-'A client? show them in.'

*Smoothing his tunic Anton winced as he touched his shoulder, the glancing shot had seared the flesh almost to the bone. Standing up his fingers played over the data slate, ordering the purchase of a replacement ship.
Wondering a moment he looked to the door, who would call at the office in person? Antons heart skipped a beat as he thought of Gangsters looking for revenge. Unclipping his blaster pistol he sat down with the weapon held under the desk, waiting.*

Kapar'in followed the receptionist's directions and reached Lord Byrax's office. The door hissed open as Kapar'in approached it. He bowed his head politely as he spoke. "Greetings Lord Byrax. My name is Kapar'in Va. I am here at the request of the Jedi Order to investigate the unfortunate incident regarding your ship over Nar Shaddaa. May I ask you a few questions?"

*Antons brow knitted in slight confusion ashe saw and listened too the Jedi who had entered his office, the blood drained from his face. *

"Ah, the ship? Yes you may ask questions, i have a few myself. Destroyed you say? over Nar Shaddaa..... "

*Discreetly Anton slid the pistol into its holster, he sat back and tried to appear normal though his wound seemed to throb.*

Kapar'in frowned to himself as he observed the nobleman. His face was very pale and he seemed quite on edge. Even without the use of the Force, Kapar'in could see that something was not right. "Of course." he answered. "Hopefully we can take care of this with minimal disruption to your business. Please tell me what you know about the incident. I would like to make sure that the information I have been given is indeed correct."

*Having composed himself Anton Leans forward, gesturing to a chair.*

"Ah please Master? Jedi, take a seat. The transport itself was not on BTC business, I'm afraid my aide procured the vessel for himself without my knowledge for reasons known only by him."

*Clasping his hands together, Anton nodded solemly.*

"And if what you tell me is correct he is dead, ah he was an impetuous man. I cannot concieve why he would have gone to such a forsaken place though."

[Kapar'in Va]

"Thank you." Kapar'in replied as he sat down across from Lord Byrax. "Yes, it appears that your ship was fired upon by another vessel though at the moment, we don't know whose. Was taking company ships without permission something that your aide did often?"

[Anton Byrax]

*Anton concentrated on keeping his mind in check, interference from the Jedi was the last thing he needed.*

"I take pride in encouraging my employees to use there initiative, Grent was a valuable asset to my business and i can only assume that he was either lured to his death or hi-jacked. The trading game has become a damm dirty business these days and i'm proud that my company can rise above such vileness"

[Kapar'in Va]

"Indeed. It is unfortunate that people have become so unscrupulous. What is it that your company trades?" Kapar'in's black eyes stared unblinking at Lord Byrax. The nobleman seemed unusually nervous, though it could have been from the loss of both his aide and his ship.

*The smallest hint of a smile appeared on Antons lips, he stared right back at the Jedi.*

"My company Trades in many things, we lean towards rare items but aslo have the capacity to transport the more mundane cargos aswell."

*Suddenly a the thought of being questioned this way gave Anton a prickle of anger. With a look of distaste the young noble continued*

"Iam of Noble Standing and as such i tend to take a hands off approach to this company. Tell me you Jedi claim the title of guardians, yet you are mostly of common birth. The ability to wield the force does not change this, Wouldnt you agree?"

Kapar'in felt the flash of anger from the nobleman, but his face remained impassive. "I am merely here to dicover why one of your ships was attacked and destroyed. I am not sure how ones use of the Force or birthright are relevant to the investigation. Does your company keep records of its ships' arrivals and departures? Perhaps a manifest or something that might give us a clue as to why your aide was travelling to Nar Shaddaa?"
