ooc: so, this is going to be a brief sort of "history" about Krypten Jeth. It is his last freelance bounty hunt before he is invited to join the League of Shadows. I am not giving myself credits, the money I earn will be the 1000 credits I start out with...
Krypten's mind wandered as his ship The Wraith autopiloted itself through hyperspace.
::How long has it been? 3 years?:: He thought to himself. Three years since he had fled Dxun and his Mandalorian brethren.
As he always did when he was bored, he replayed his last mission over in his head. His unit's orders were simple. Recon the area, assess enemy troop strength. NO engagement. His commanding officer was clear on that.
"Honor." Krypten snorted to himself. "Don't attack your foes unprepared." That was not the Mandalorian way. He had moved his squad through the dense jungle and upon reaching the outskirts of the enemy encampment, he had ordered his men to spread out and recon the area. Krypten had then climbed to the top of a ridge and had taken out his sniper rifle. Usually he brought along a spotter who would watch his back and help identify targets, but not today.
Laying down on the ridge, he spent a few momnents watching the area, identifying officers and other targets of opportunities. Checking his ammo clip to make sure his rifle was full, he once again peered through his scope and drew a bead on who he guessed was the commanding officer. Steadying his breathing, he had pulled the trigger and without waiting, had moved on to his next victim. He knew how accurate he was. There had been no need to verify his shot. The officer never knew his life had been in danger.
Krypten had taken out 4 officers before the enemy camp had even had a chance to raise an alarm.

His troops had responded exactly as Krypten had hoped. Hearing their leader's weapon fire, they had immediately assumed he had been attacked. Drawing their own weapons, they had charged into the camp, blasters firing. Within minutes, the camp lay in ruin. Krypten had personally eliminated 11 of his foes.
Shaking his head, Krypten drew himself from his daydreaming. His autopilot was beeping, telling him that he was nearing Tattooine. Turning off the autopilot, Krypten consulted his datapad once more, one of the Crime Lords on Courscant had hired him to take out a small Rodian thug on the desert planet who had been causing troubles with the Crime Lord's spice smuggling. It was not so much a bounty as a paid hit. It was not the first assassination mission he had been on. This one didn't pay well, but business had been a little slow and he needed the credits.
Dropping out of hyperspace, he contacted the Anchorhead spaceport. Recieving his docking information, he brought The Wraith in for a landing. Securing his ship, he had made his way out into the spaceport. He dressed in civilian attire and was armed only with his blaster pistol and knife. "First things first" he thought to himself "a drink and then some recon." Krypten needed to find out where this Rodian hung out and where he would be able to get a clear shot at him.

Heading in to the Cantina, he spotted his prey at a table drinking with his companions. "For Mandalore, this might be the easiest job ever." Upon further inspection (discreet of course!) Krypten began to change his mind. The 4 other men (of various species) were all heavily armed. "Bodyguards." he muttered as he took a seat at the bar and signaled for a drink. Paying for his Tarisian Ale, he swung around on his stool and watched the Rodian closely. There were a lot of empty glasses on the table, but he couldn't tell if any of them were drunk or not.
Suddenly the Rodian and his bodyguards stood up and made their way to the door. Krypten took another sip of his drink and followed them a short distance behind. As he tailed them, he kept an eye on the buildings they were passing, looking for a rooftop with a clear shot at the street. There were no really tall buildings in Anchorhead, which meant it would be hard for him to conceal himself. He would have to do it at night. "I knew I should have bought a stealth generator instead of joining that pazaac tournament." he cursed to himself.

This routine went on for a few days, Krypten would wake up early and stake out the Rodian's apartment. He would then follow him around, getting an idea of his day-to-day habits. All the while, he kept an eye out for the best place to set a trap. It would have to be somewhere that gave him quick access to his ship. He wouldn't be staying long once the hit was done. Not that he wanted to. Tattooine was a dreadful planet. Krypten hated it. Sand was murder (no pun intended!) on his rifle.

Finally after 4 days of trailing the Rodian, Krypten had made his decision. Every evening, the Rodian stopped by the local Hutt's office, presumably for business, not that it mattered to Krypten. The Hutt's lounge was close enough to the spaceport that Krypten would be able to make the shot and get to his ship fairly quickly. And, with reports of a sandstorm brewing, the confusion might help him escape notice easier.
Heading back to his ship a few hours before dusk, he prepared himself. Donning his armor, which was painted a dull, mottled black, prepped his ship for takeoff. He would need to make a quick getaway and it wouldn't do to have to wait for his ship to warm up. Heading into his cabin, he took his sniper rifle out from it's case. Attaching the scope to it, he placed it on his bed and went to get his last provision. In a small closet he kept several camoflaged suits (ooc: I don't know what they are called, but snipers wear them to help them blend in with their surroundings). Taking out his desert one, he pulled it on over his armor. It was a light brown with darker brown markings which helped him blend in with the sandy color of the buildings here.
Picking up his rifle, he left his ship and armed the security system. Heading out into Anchorhead, he received a few strange looks, but fortunately, no one could see his armor. He made his way through the back streets eventually reaching a small deserted back alley. Pulling out a grappling hook, he quickly ascended to the rooftops, the wind was picking up and a dark cloud was approaching in the distance. Krypten would have to be quick...

Krypten reached his destination after a few minutes. Setting up, he was pleased with his choice. It would be nearly impossible for anyone to see him up here. Now all he had to do was wait.
About 30 minutes later, Krypten saw the Rodian and his thugs approaching the Hutt's den. Krypten quickly made a decision. The sand storm was rapidly approaching and Krypten didn't want to risk the Rodian staying at the Hutt's until it ended. He would have to shoot now. Drawing a bead on the Rodian as he briskly moved through the street, Krypten felt a surge of adrenaline flow through him. This was his favorite part of the hunt: the Kill. Flexing his hand, he placed his finger on the trigger and waited until just the right moment...
When the Rodian reached the Hutt's door, two of his bodyguards entered first, most likely to make sure everything was clear. This was what Krypten was waiting for. He pulled the trigger and was pleased to see the Rodian's head snap forward, a gaping hole in the back of it. The rifle's blast was louder than Krypten would have liked, but there was no time to worry. He was quickly on his feet, making his way back to the rope. Climbing down, he praised his good fortune. The front edge of the sand storm was reaching Anchorhead and most of the port's citizens were scrambling for cover. No one paid him any attention.
Making his way back to his ship, he allowed himself a small smile. The Rodian's thugs had no idea what had happened to their leader. One moment he was standing there, the next his head was gone. The Rodian's Aqualish lieutenent and been able to track where the bolt came from and had though he saw someone on the rooftop running away. Drawing his blaster, he had run off after the shape, leaving the other 2 thugs to deal with the cleanup.

Krypten was just entering his hanger when he heard a voice behind him: ""In a hurry are we? Let me see your hands. Turn around slowly. You don't want to make me nervous do you. I might accidently pull this trigger." Krypten stopped in his tracks and slowly held out his hands to the side, letting his rifle fall to the ground.
As he slowly turned, he was glad he had remembered to bring his blaster. The Aqualish was about 10 meters from him. At this close range, he couldn't afford to miss. He would only have one chance at this. Krypten's hand darted to his holster as he dove to his left. The Aqualish was quick, but his aim was slightly off and the blaster shot missed Krypten and struck his ship. Krypten hit the ground and pulled his trigger. His first shot struck the Aqualish in the arm and spun him around.
Quickly climbing to his knees, Krypten took aim and fired again, this time striking his foe square in the back. Grabbing his rifle, he climbed onto his ship and took off. It wasn't until he was safely in hyperspace on his way back to Courscant that he took off his armor and disassembled and cleaned his rifle.
"1000 credits." he thought to himself. "Not much, but at least it's something." Little did he know that his luck would soon change...

Two days after arriving back on Couruscant and collecting his bounty, Krypten was approached by a man named Marcus Bloodworth, himself a notorious hunter. Bloodworth invited Krypten to join the League of Shadows, a group of assassins. Lured by the hunt, Krypten Jeth accepted Bloodworth's offer right there... ooc: the end!
