I think I speak for many people here when I say just stop, no more. Allow me to elaberate; over the weeks I as many of the other forum members have seen many threads which go into your religous veiw points and thus leads to arguments and smites all around.
My point is that the adminostration class should make a rule about keeping religous veiw points out of a star wars role playing forum. The site which we reside on is connected to the world wide web if you hadnt already known. And by this web page being connected to every single computer on this world which is made up of many upon many natinalities, we must consider that many of us will naturaly have various veiw points on such a touchy subject. So I advise there be a rule which will ultimantly rule out discussion of religon; as it only creates problems. This would also include slander of other belifes, as that is just as bad as saying one religon is wrong and yours isnt. I personaly would think this would be a definant step foward for the forum.

Good idea. I'm regretting posting the Jesuslol stuff...I'll take this opportunity to apologize to anyone who i hurt in posting that. It was out of line, dumb, and just a little rude to those of you out there who believe in God.

As good as it is to hear boli's apology to a hand full of people here, I feel I must interrupt... Forgive me being a bastard, but could the adminostration class please consider my pruposal? I myself cannot see it occomplishing anything other then the targeted objective which I spoke of in the first post.

We have already talked about it. This is something the admins discussed a while ago.

Your suggestion is a good one (and sadly, maybe a necessary one), but it also punishes the members of this site who can have a mature discussion about a sensative subject such as religion. Maybe instead of forbidding the subjects, the admins could take a page from sports (with the steroid policies). If admins catch people goading others, or being asses, or whatever, they get a warning. Second offence they get a 24-hour ban. 3rd offence: 1 week. 4th: permanent. (or some sort of incremental penalty).
That being said, I think everyone who is a member of this site should be somewhat responsible for policing it. If someone posts something that you don't approve of, PM the person. I think you will find that the majority of the people here don't mean to offend others. If they refuse, tell an admin. I think these problems can be solved if people handle them better. A perfect example of this would be those pictures that Boli (?) posted. Sabre found them offensive, and said so (calmly and without being rude) and Boli apologized. Simple and effective. Anyways, that is my $0.02. Take it or leave it!

Thats the problem, we cant trust everyone to watch what they say and expect results. If you want to disscus religon do it over a form of messanger because the lot of us dont want to hear it.

I see your point, but my suggestion wouldn't necessarily require people to police themselves. If I say something offensive to you, tell me. If I didn't mean it, I will apologize and stop. If I continue to do so, PM an admin and tell them. Let them handle me (since that is part of their responsibilities).
Another soloution for you would be to make a seperate sub-forum for religious discussions. If people (like you, as you stated) don't want to hear it or join in, they don't have to. Just don't come to that part of the site. This way people have a place to discuss their beliefs without clogging up the ooc forum (the reason I suggested a separate section is that this way people will know that any thread is religious in nature and can avoid it if they don't want to be involved). Admins could still monitor the threads and warn/ban if necessary.

Sadly though many here on this forum aren't mature enough to handle some of these discussions without getting into these arguments. This point has been brought up numerous times in the admin section before this thread has been posted and is still being debated until a consensus is reached. Until then, we ask all of you who are members here to notify the admins of any thread in which there is something posted that is rude, crude or offensive. If we haven't seen it already, pm us and we'll take care of it. This forum is for all of you to enjoy and we are doing all we can to provide an area where you can come freely and have fun while discussing important issues. Please be patient with us on this matter...that is all we ask. Thank you.
