I was thinking that, since the Sith are gone atm, we should get rid of certain Sithy powers for now, like lightning. I mean, none would know where to learn certain techniques from, and the Dark JEdi are usually fallen jedi, so...erm...yeah.
What think?

It makes sense, but the Jedi would have it recorded in the archives

that kind of knowledge would be restricted to council members, i would think. For a padawan to just come in and go 'ooh, lightning! I learn that' is just a little bit of temptation to the darkside, wouldn't you think?

But wouldn't the initial Dark Jedi most likely be Masters who fell (or at least Knights). So they would probably have knowledge of DS powers at the very least. I don't think a padawan could fall and then create the DJ because they wouldn't be skilled enough. I don't know if DS powers should be banned, but maybe restricted. THough Kelly (and all her personae ) is faction leader and I think she will instruct her apprentices correctly in terms of the powers they can learn.

I'd think that it would only be recoreded and kept by the masters and counsil members so that only the masters would know of the powers for now to prevent the Sith or dj to reappear

Let me point out that a true force weilder uses all of the force, not just light, not just dark. The force is both dark and light, and a true jedi master keeps balance and thus can use dark side abilities and not in turn be evil. It is rare however that you find such a powerful force weilder who harnests all of the force rather just light, or just dark. As my finishing statement, it would not be a good idea to bann 'sithy' force powers as there are no such things as just for sith or just for jedi abilities. However due to the sith being wiped out and everything, it would make more since to say that the main darkside teachings died along with the sith. But even then you cant claim a force power to any spesific faction or orginazation. The force is the force, and thus a force weilder uses nothing less then the force. Simple, yet so many dont fully understand what exactly I am implying.

I think what they were getting at was the fact that any Force user cant use all powers (good or bad) without being taught something first. People just cant go around using certain DS powers without training.
