There are soooo many things wrong here that I see so let me clarify.
#1. All Jedi Masters are chosen by the Jedi Council after their time as a Jedi Knight has been evaluated. It doesn't matter how long you've been here or anything else. What matters is how well you've upheld the Jedi Code and the need for more masters.
#2. Damien has had some pc issues. Adamis is currently busy in an rp and isn't free. Yes, several masters have been lost to the dark side, but that is no reason for padawans and knights to go ahead and set up polls to give their opinions as to whom should be promoted to Jedi Masterhood. That is up to the reigning council members.
#3. There is no leader of the Jedi. The Jedi serve the Republic and convene in a council to discuss matters and meditate over what the will of the Force is in certain matters. All actions are based upon the will of the Force and thought out carefully.

Uhuh.... So, why's he called a grand Master then? Because after Dex turn, since he was basicly seen as the leader of the Jedi, we had a little election for the next 'Grand Master' and Damien got in. Don't know who started it. Not that it makes much of a difference, we still talk things over as a council and all. And yes I am still in a RP at the moment but I can still communicate with the council via holo-projection. |

if anyone, ANYONE is to choose new masters for the Jedi, then its the current masters who should do so. Also, we should probably encourage people to start training and stuff on the Jedi Forum again...a clean up of that forum wouldn't go astray either...its awfully cluttered.
Just a heads up btw, Dex has got a couple of facts messed up. Boli may have gone badass on Vjun, but once he gets in control of himself (probably and hopefully my biggest rp to date will come of this), he's gonna go through several...changes. He'll still be Jedi, but...well, youll find out, i guess.

the grand master is like the U.S. president, he has the main powers for the IMMEDIATE situations, but the senate (or jedi council) have the final say
