Why not have players start out as kids, if the want to learn the force, so that the experiance is real. And for those that don't want to weild the force, they can start out as adults.

It would take too long for the character to become an adult then. Children can't go out on missions or fight in wars. At least, not to the same extent as adult characters can.

Adena had the whole "life-time epic" thing goin on, and people complain about it so they should learn the hard way. Plus it's said to be hard to become a jedi when your an adult, when only a handfull of people can get the training down in only days. For instance, my character Juan was started on my friends site. I started him out as a young teen and rose him from there. But the idea isn't smart, I guess.

Well it could work if it works like this:
Training takes about 2 weeks so you start as a child and at the end of hat 2 weeks your and aduilt and trained etc. and its set like in the past. Its similar to what I'm doing on "Star Wars: Legacy of Darkness" but i'm having them all start as younglings in classes.

Realy, its up to the person to deceide in which time-line of their characters life they want to start from, does it realy matter? It makes things interresting in all ways since if you start as a kid, your character will start to form himself his own personality and backstory as long as the rps will make him grow into the story. If you start as an adult, well perhaps you didn't realy grow your character as much, but you developed him in your mind with a pre-chosen story. I mean, it can perhaps be either very bad or very good... MY character started to have an active role in the history of our rp universe in his early 3000'ish years

I like the idea. You should start off as a young kid.For about 2 weeks if you are like a Jedi or Sith. Then you have time to get that small bio up.

I think that if we were to do that then it should be optional. I mean, some users may not want to start off as a kid.
