I understand the too many force users (though I am one...) but a timeline shift would be a little senseless...I agree with Antores the time is perfect because we know so little about what happened...it inspires every writer on the site to actually think about what they want...but if you do want to start knocking down the force users i could understand that...however keep in mind that people only wish to play as a force user because they feel their character is unique....any major shifts can be taken as the Admins limiting characters and could discourage people from playing...All in All...it may be boring, but the system works....

What about 1000 years ABY (Lukes era)? Thats where my table top D20 Star wars game takes place....
My faction would be the Shadelords of Kundauthiil. I did a small write up on them on this board under lightsabers...
Shadow beings from outside the known universe...The are force users/ darkside...their lightning isnt blue it' bright red/black.
Instead of lightsaber they use shadow sabers that hiss loudly when swung and leaves a trail of black shadow stuff in it's wake...
Shadelords cannot live through direct contact with sunlight. They must wear protective suits when in the sun....in shadow they are hella powerful and teleport at will from shadow to shadow...Kinda mimics the Shade from D&D.

to stop all the force users, what should happen, is people should go to the jedi/sith and say they want to be trained, they then should be given a challenge, and the leaders of the jedi/sith should decide whether they are force sensitive, i mean you dont just know if you are as soon as your born, you get found by other force users and they should be the masters and knights of either the jedi/sith.
