why the timeline is at the time of KOTORs is because its a free for all. there is no set sequence of events from the mandalorian wars to the time of Darth Bane. Maybe bits and Pieces from some Star Wars stories, but other than that, everything you want to happen can happen. Empire times is used already. you know whats going to happen. and i dont see the difference of riding on a star destroyer and blasting rebels, from riding on a sith battleship and blasting at Republic Star fighters...
you are right about too many force users who dont really know what they are doing, or use the force just to be strong.

Hmm could be interesting, I really don't care what timeline we play in, and I can do with or without the Force, but we only have a few years to play in because from the Great Purge to the death of Palpatine it's like 10 years or something.

I agree about there being to many force users, when my current character is killed my next one is going to be non-force. But he will have something not even a lightsaber can truely break  |

I would have to say that AFTER the movies would be the best time, because then we know what has happened and dont have to worry about what will happen.
Right now we can not destroy a planet, or wipe out a species, or use bacta. We also would not have to worry about brining in new technologies that are more advanced then those from the movies and games.
All in all I would have to say that after all known star wars "history" would be very liberating.
As for force users, I saw start with 1 or 2, and when they see someone that they think has EARNED the right to use the force, then they can teach him, that way it makes sence for people to use the force.

Good idea, but there can't be any Sith, Lucas himself has said there's no more Sith after Sidious... or was that SS? I dunno, the line between fact and fiction is so blurred these days. Or, here's an idea: we could have it during the time of the Prequels: we could select people to be known characters, like Qui-Gon and Yoda and Maul, and then play it out and see where the forum takes us: see wether in our forum Sidious gets to be Emperor, or even supreme chancellor (we could have a poll), or Qui is murdered by Maul, etc... What say you? |

occultus thats not a good idea in my opinion because we know what happens. there will be less creativity. the times are fine as they are. changing them will not be the greatest of ideas. this is just my two cents, keep stuff as it is.
