I was thinking of a kinda pet shop where mounts are trained and sold. I could not own said shop because I am a jedi knight and do not own material possesions other than my ship, clothes and saber etc....
The shop could have Rancors and other mounts. I have the Star Wars creature guide and could make a full list if this was to become someones shop. They would have, we have to come up with a buying price for each young beast to be purchased and raised/trained for riding and obedience. Mounts could be very cool really. A dark jedi riding a rancor into combat would be a site to behold. Not to say jedi could not own a mount as well. Whoever starts this shop would need a good amount of credits to role play it porperly and have a beast master type background or employ one.
Just an idea.

One animal I would really like to add is Akks. They are from Mace Windu's home planet Korun I think. They are force sensitive. They can only have one master since they bond with a force user and none other can ride the beast other than a highly trained jedi master like Mace can take control of them for short time.
Their skin is 100% lightsaber resistance and blaster resistant. They can take a torpedo to the side and die because of the internal damage but you could bathe one with a flame thrower for days and it wouldn't hurt. They would have to be very expensive.
Forgot to add the reason for their very tough armor is because they live in lava fields and can withstand lava on their hides without harm.

I don't think so but I want to find out what that was... it was some sort of dragon I think.
I read about the "Akks" in Shatterpoint a clone wars novel, revolving around Mace Windu.
I will research that mount Obi-wan had. Also there was a mount I read about that was like a huge lizard with six legs and it's feet were covered with a sticky viscous slime kinda and it could walk on walls and stand on cielings completely inverted.

eh? I have around 6-7 mounts so far. I will begin posting them tomorow. The list will be extensive. Also all you Sith out there will love the sith mounts I found in the "Ultimate adversaries guide" Sith Warbirds a huge flightless bird that is 20 or more feet long and can carry heavy guns as well as a rider. They fashion a thing on kinda like the Elephant things in "Return of the King". Also there are Sith behemoth mounts mentioned but I need more info to add them. |

During the Sith empire domesticated creatures were pressed into military service. This flightless bird stands 6 meters (18 feet) tall and ten meters long (30 feet).
It's skin is normaly light green or soft brown. It has an enormous beak and very powerful legs. (picture a T-Rex/Bird) The Sith Warbird is capable of carrying heavy cannons/artilery and riders.

The Sureggi is one of the most surefooted creatures to roam the jungles of Kashyyk. Ranging in length from 8 to 20 meters, the creatures can have upwards of 30 legs that aid their nimble climbing.
A Sureggi has a broad shovel-like snout and a high-ridged dorsal region (segments like an ant but with about 5 diferent section according to the picture). Their color ranges from white to light beige and are well know to have multiple colors, and orange to ruddy pink legs. The Sureggi is amphibian, but inlike most amphibians the Sureggi has dry durable skin. Because of their strong hides, they can carry cargo that would be awkward for other mounts. It's nose has a number of thick tentecale-like sensory organs. These "whiskers" detect burowing grubs or any animal or man beneath the ground through tremors in the rock.
OK my discription of the picture: A large insect like animal with many sets of legs. The picture shows 10 sets of legs (20) with a seat on the front near it's head and a platform on it's rear with either cargo or weapon systems. It's claws angle inwards. The claws are very long and appear to be able to rip a man to shreds easily.
