History: Arlon Kyjar was born in a very well known family, as both his father and grandfather had very storied pasts as Jedi Masters. He was born in the Jedi temple on Coruscant, and immediately he was taken in by his own father for training. This is usually not allowed in the Jedi, as students are usually never allowed to see their family members, but this was a special case. The Kyjar bloodline was very strong in the force, and need special training to continue their strong force potential.
After about twelve years of intense training sessions with his father, Arlon was brought before the rest of the Jedi council. Twelve of them now, much more than there had ever been fifty years before. Back then everyone had been joining the Sith and pushing the Jedi to the brink of extinction. This was his trial to become a Jedi Knight. They gave him a test that he had to complete on his own. He had to go to Vjun, the planet of acid rain, and find the remains of Alora Del-Arshu, in the now famous crater, which was home to his grandfather’s final battle. This would be a very emotional part of his training, and was obviously a test to see if he could contain all of his feelings and accomplish this.
He took his hand-me-down ship, The Noctern, from Coruscant, and began piloting it towards the deserted planet that was Vjun. After a long trip, he touched down right next to the large crater, created by former Jedi Master, Boli Delish. He applied a force absorb to himself and walked out the loading ramp. The acidic rain began to bounce off of his body, the force acting as a shield for him. He walks down to the center of the crater, feeling the complete darkness all around himself, the darkness of Boli Delish, but more importantly, the darkness of his grandfather, Dexon Kyjar. It seemed that he had extinguished the Sith Lord inside himself by unleashing it all onto his once friend and mentor, to get away alive. He tried to shove his feelings aside, and continued searching for the bones of the one his grandfather killed. They were at the top of the crater. Arlon took out the bag hanging off of his back and picked up the bones carefully, placing them into the bag and heading back to his ship, setting coordinates for Coruscant once more, and leaving the God forsaken land that was Vjun.
With his task finally taken care of, he landed his ship in the docking bay of the Jedi Temple, stepping out and heading for the Jedi council chambers, lugging the bag behind him. He stumbles into the chambers and throws the bag to the ground, safely tied up, telling the Masters that the bagged goods was here. They told Arlon that they wanted to see what it was that Dexon did to murder this woman, and wanted to find out his possible intentions for doing so. Arlon was promoted to Jedi Knight.
His training was nearly complete, he only had to learn some more lightsaber forms, master lightsaber combat, and pass a test that would grant him the rank of master. 23 years later, at the age of 25, after more rigorous training by his father, who was now at his old age of 53, Arlon was brought in front of the council once more, where they gave him his final task. He was to go to the relatively deserted planet of the Sith, Korriban, and go into the tomb of Ludo Kressh and face the challenges inside, and at the end, taking his war sword and bringing it back for the archive’s librarian.
So Arlon took off on his final quest, taking his ship to Korriban and hopping out, heading to the Shyrack caves. He began walking through, heading towards Ludo Kressh’s tomb, fighting tukata’s and shyrack’s along the way. After fighting through everything along his path, he entered the great tomb of darkness, holding his lightsaber, ready for anything that might come.
As he treaded through the paved halls, he faced many challenges from his past, his former friends, enemies, and many other things. At the final room, he entered, fairly tired and war torn. His final challenge was one that frightened him more than anything he had ever seen before in his life. It was the darkness that once encompassed his grand father, standing right before him, green lightsaber in hand, jumping towards him a split second later, and striking towards his head.
With his lightsaber already ignited, Arlon brought both of his lightsabers up to lock the lightsaber in position, mere inches away from his forehead. This would be a near impossible fight, but he had to succeed. He pressed harder with his right hand, then let go of the pressure completely in his left, forcing the vision’s lightsaber down, leaving him open for an attack. Arlon stabs inwards towards the vision’s chest, piercing right through, sending him sprawling to the ground, nearly defeated. He finishes the job by slicing off his head, the vision disappearing.
Arlon walks over to the tomb of Ludo Kressh and opens it, a wave of evil coming out of the tomb and slapping him like a herd of a thousand bulls charging over his face. He recovered quickly and took the war sword away from the mumified corpse, walking out of the eternal darkness, leaving his behind, completely reimbursed with the light, nothing else. He gets in his ship and sets course for Coruscant once more.
Upon arrival, Arlon is informed of his father’s death of an inoperable tomer on the side of his head. After grieving for the rest of day and waking up like he had a hangover the next morning, Arlon brought the war sword to the librarian, then returned to the council chambers. They informed him that he had done a job well done, and that since his father had died, they had an empty seat on the council they needed filling. Arlon was the most qualified person for the job, so they assigned him the seat, wear he has been improving his talents the entire ten years he has been a council member.
