*cough* You're both right, in a way. The generaly used practice is that you don't get your Darth name until your master gives it to you. Most of us prefer you do it that way. It is seldomly done where you already have a Darth name, because usually you're just starting off as a hopeful, with little Force knowledge.... it would look kind of funny if your average joe went running around calling himself 'Darth' whatever.
