Originally from the Planet Alderaan, ENS Mara Averre had a dream set out for herself at a young age. Refusing to settle for the role of "Daddy's Little Girl" Mara was her local Tom-Boy, always getting involved in activities that mostly the boys were doing. Instigated by the boy's mocking laughter and criticism, Mara proved herself to be more then equal to any Male Counterpart in all challenges given to her. Mara had created a reputation for herself within her community. One that was nothing to be proud of...she was met with hostility among the Females and rejection among the Males. Mara's Parents seeing the Young Lady hurt from all that was presented to her...took her away from the Anger, and Hate and brought her to a Planet they felt she would enjoy very much: Nar Shaddaa.
Chronicled to be a "Harsh Planet" Mara naturally Loved it! Streets filled with adventure and people who didn't care whether you were Male or Female...if you were Adventurous this was the Place to be...As the years progressed Mara got herself into sticky situation after sticky situation, and seemed to always manage tog et herself out without her parents finding out. It was here she met her two closest friends In the Galaxy: Jace and Paul Ketan. The Dynamic Duo of trouble had now become The Three Musketeers of Mischief! And even though Paul and Jace were several years younger then Mara, she looked to them as if they were long lost family members.
The Trio were possibly the most well known people on the Planet of Nar Shaddaa, if not the Galaxy by then, because of their crazy "Shenanigans!" Unfortunately, Like all Good Things, the fun had come to an end. While Mara was noted for getting into Mischief, She, unlike the Ketan Brother, had never done anything criminal. This was all to reach her Ultimate Goal: To Attend Enrollment at the Republic Naval Academy on Coruscant. Mara was a bright girl, with a notable reputation for community service and adventure, not to mention tenacious and her "fiery attitude"! She was also a Woman of Accomplishment, whatever she said she would do...She did! Not because it "Was her Duty" but Because "It Needed to be Done!" The Academy Immediately accepted her within its ranks...and Mara had to say a teary "Goodbye" to her friends.
Mara knew that the Academy would be rough, but she had no idea how rough it would be. Throughout her entire "Plebe" Year (Slang for Freshmen Year, or First Year) she could say nothing to any Superior Midshipman (Cadet) but: "Yes, Ma'am/Sir", "No, Ma'am/ Sir", or "Ma'am/Sir, This Cadet Does Not Understand!" By The beginning of her Second Year Mara had already received several awards including: Top Cadet, Top Room Inspection, Best Uniform, and Most Likely 'Not To Drop Out' (The Last being an Award Given Every Year from the previous Freshmen Class) She maintained this Excellence throughout the Entire Year: Always Reporting In early, Always In Uniform, Always Looking "Sharp" In Uniform, Always being the One with an Answer, Always Having The Right Answer, and Always being a Leader among the rest of her Class! Mara Averre was the First to Graduate in her class and was the First to be Promoted to the Rank of Ensign. She was noted for Outstanding Record: Never Receiving A Single Demerit or Reprimand throughout her entire Academy Career!
Mara now serves as Junior Officer aboard the Republic War Cruiser: NARCISSUS under the Command of CAPT Kenneth Soir.
