Appearance: Renko is of the Nautolan People, an Amphibious humaniod race. He has molted green skin and sharklike eyes. Instead of hair, he sports a crown of long green tendrils. The Nautolan skeletal structure is exceptionally reinforced with extra cartilage that makes Renko, and the rest of his race, exceptionally resilient.
Early Life: Born upon the Planet of Glee Anselm, where he lived beneath the waves, Renko Yast proved to be exceptional at an early age. Confusing his Force Sensativity with Shamanistic Healing, Renko's parents sent him to an Apprenticeship with a man known simply as: The Runeweaver. It was within this Shaman's presence that Renko began to absorb the mystical powers of The Force. The Runeweaver, though partially blind (and senile), had a vision that was beyond the scope of all Nautolans: he could see into the future. Using inscribed tiles marked with Nautila script, called glimpses, he would give warnings of events that would soon happen. Later, Renko would come to understand that his former Mentor could use the Force to see into the future, the tiles were just for show. Though cryptic and crazy the Runeweaver expanded Renko's knowledge of the Force and taught him several abilities that helped the young Nautolan "talk" his way out of trouble. To most notable experience came when a young bully began to hassle another Nautolan about the severe stutter he spoke with. Simple name calling soon became Physical and Renko was forced to step in. Renko used the Force to press upon the simple mind of the bully and soon "Persuaded" the bully to do Renko's chores for a week as pennance for almost striking him. It wasn't untill Renko talked the bully into cleaning out the school's........erhem......"facilities" that a teacher soon reprimanded him for, "Unauthorized Mind Control." The Runeweaver simply laughed at the ridiculous reprimand and told young Renko not to worry, "Destiny Awaits on Coruscant!" And so, Renko said "Goodbye" to the waters of Glee Anselm and traveled to Coruscant where his abilities were soon discovered by The Jedi Order.
Jedi Life: Renko had advanced through the "Youngling" training at a lightning quick pace and was soon sent to Telos for Padawan training. It was here that he received training from Jedi Master Bo Madet. With Master Madet's guidance Renko soon became a Jedi Knight, and took to his new duties with a flourish! After becoming the Jedi Orders leading Historian, Renko began instructing Padawans in simple Force techniques under the supervision of Jedi Master Kain Lightbringer and Jedi Master Damien Nightblade. Yast even opened a class where he shared his knowledge and wisdom of The History of the Jedi Order. Yet, the biggest feat accomplished by Renko was redesigning the recently destroyed (thanks to Kyra Maans) Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Renko has even taken on a Padawan of his own named Kale Degan.
When he is not teaching and enlightening others, Renko Yast can be found within the Jedi Archives where he studies constantly, and even develops new lessons to teach to those who'll listen.
Renko is a strong Jedi Knight who knows a large arsenal of Force Techniques that he uses in conjunction with his skillful use of a lightsaber. Whilst Renko is a powerful warrior, to say the least, he practices the rapidly fading form of Diplomacy. Always seekind to end fights or conflicts with words rather then bloodshed.
Personality: Renko reflects the moods of those around him. When confronted by anger and violence, he will respond in a kind. When approached in a calm, civilized manner, he will seem helpful and polite.
Combat: Renko is a Masterful practitioner of Form I Lightsaber Combat, due mostly to his early Jedi training at the Temple on Coruscant. While the Shii-Cho form of Combat is not the most prestigious form amongst Jedi, Renko uses its simplicity in battle with grace and deadly precision. Because he hails from the Planet Glee Anselm, Renko Yast can fight equally as well on Land and Underwater
Renko believes in an old Code of Chivalry taught to him by his old mentor, The Runweaver. He has it etched, in Nautila, above his doorway in the Jedi Academy on Telos. It reads: "Always do the right thing, even when no one is around to watch...."

Nautolan Senses: Nautolans have such excellent senses that they can detect when another being has a shift in their mood within 10 meters, no matter how blatant or subtle.
Nautolans speak and read Nautila, but their language is pronouncibale only underwater. On land, Nautila loses a great deal of detail, which most Nautolans find annoying. When out of water, Nautolans tend to speak Anselmian - learned from their nonamphibious nieghbors, the Anselmi - or Basic, which serves them well enough when they travel throughout the galaxy.
