Why am I still here?
Remer's thought echoed and faded into the howling winds of Rhen Var. His footsteps trudging slowly along the hard ice and clumpy snow, for miles he saw nothing, sensed nothing, he was truly alone.
It wasn't that he minded it, no, he had never been one to mind the echo of his own thoughts on an empty plain. He had gone into isolation before, but never this long. It had been a long time, months upon months. A time of reflection and meditation, a time to slow down and remember who he was. The war had deprived him of such...
But now the exile was over, why was he still here? The Remnant had finally come from hiding, and they needed people like him. Why wouldn't he go, why wouldn't he answer the call of his duty?
Because I no longer wish to hold that duty...
Remer let out a deep sigh, a cold mist emitting in front of his face, and quickly being blown away into the distance. He watched his breath fade into the blue, and started his slow, long trudge once more.

Fury switched the button, initiating the autopilot. As he did so he sent out a brief scan, bee, beep. “Alls clear,” he muttered in accordance with scanners sound. He stepped up out of the seat, internally stretching his muscles. “Shall we follow Lord Drall’s plans?” the screeching voice of the wraith sounded like nails over a blackboard. “I believe I am left with no other choice,” bitterness strewn throughout his voice was plain to even the dead ears of his wraiths. He stood for a moment, not doing anything in plain appearance; he then swiftly turned and pressed down on the comm. button, the destination of the signal already set. “Commence operation 47,” he said gruffly before cutting off the channel, not caring to hear a reply. Beep! Beep! Beep! The sensors had picked something up. Fury jumped into the pilot seat flinging his body over the control panel toward the view screen. Sure enough, there was a small republic fighter to their rear. “So they thought they could double cross us,” he muttered to himself as he pulled out the control stick and swerved it into a sudden roll. The mass bulk of Rehn Var lay not to far away, and Fury had a feeling that to land in the swamps would almost certainly throw his stalker off. The atmosphere flew past, the wispy clouds split across Furies ship like a waves over a rock. “Where to land my lord?” The Wraith screeched darkly as they passed through the steamy clouds. “I will deal with it,” Fury said, despising the constant questioning. Sabre’s ship was hot on their heals and as they plummeted toward the snow, they somehow just managed to curve of behind a mountain and loose him. However by doing such they had brought themselves too close to the ground, and with a sudden thump, the ship crashed into the snow.

Remer looked into the skies, he felt, felt something that he had not felt in a a long time... a presence in the force. He slowly his eyes and took a deep breath as a ripple of the force surged through him, followed a disturbing shiver. This presence was of the darkness.
Remer opened his eyes to see two ships plummet through the atmosphere, one coming dangerously close to the ground. He eyes however could not see if the ship had crashed or not, the snow blew to densely to see anything in the distance.
Quickly Remer moved towards the ship, the force flowing freely through him for once in a long time, speeding up his breathing, his heartbeat, his very essense...
... He had almost forgot how that felt.
Remer blew across the snow, the dark presence drew nearer with every step he took, but he needed to know if everyone was alright.

As Remer came closer the snow cloud began to die down. The white explosion slowly blew off with the wind, and now it was plain to see the ship, half sunken in the snow. Inside the ship Infernus’s lightsaber sprung to life, casting a flurry od sparks as he sunk it into the roof. He made a dash circle before ramming his shoulder into it and leaping out.

As Remer drew near to the ship, he recognized an o' so familiar glow. The glow of a Sith's saber, blood red to the core.
It made him screech to a halt, he didn't know if he was ready for this. His hand went to his saber, it felt so foreign to him. How could he fight this one?
A battle not fought is never won.
Remer closed his eyes and let out a deep breath.
"What business does one such as yourself have on Rhen Vhar?" Remer's voice rang clear, breaking through even the howling winds.

Fury hadn’t noticed the man standing in the snow. At first he cared to ignore, but then he saw the lightsaber and decided differently. He landed ft away from the Jedi in the snow, his feet pounding into it and causing two small billows of white powder to erupt. A small growl was heard through his clenched teeth as he held his lightsaber in his hand, only one side ignited.

"Not one for conversation I see..." Remer said softly, but the man could hear it just fine.
Slowly, he drew his saber and activated it, its dark blue glow reflecting off of the ice and snow.
I will not be the one to strike the first blow.
Remer got steadily into Niman stance, ready for an attack.

Fury didn’t think much about walking away, killing was what he did best, that and genocide. He activated the other side of his lightsaber, both sides were now casting sickening glows across the ice and snow, reflecting blood tone’s over his nemesis. He suddenly sprung forward keeping his feet parallel and wide in front of Remer, he pushed his right hand forward, snapping the right side of his lightsaber at the left side of Remer’s neck.

Remer moved quickly, allowing the force to surge within him, rumbling into a wave in the force. He immediatly dropped to the right and rolled sideways, pure reflex, he knew he wouldn't be able to rely on that, he needed to get his bearings.
Remer flung into Rizen formation, memories of his training flooding back into his mind, moving with speed and percision, just as Master Damien had taught him. He saber was ablur, moving quickly in a barrage of consice attacks. In a split second, a swipe went straight for the Sith's temple.
