Junn then understood something that any other padawan wouldn’t know he knew that all ships had the power to drift; he knew this because of his skill in piloting. But the one answer Nor-Lek wanted was the fact t didn’t have a hyperdrive it uses a booster ring, so Junn said “It doesn’t have a hyperdrive, it uses a booster ring.”

*Obviously Junn did not understand the question.*
What Master Kordin is trying to ask you is what hyperdrive does the booster ring use. He originally stated that it did use a booster ring and was inquiring if you knew what type of hyperdrive it used.

Junn didn’t know what type of hyperdrive the booster ring used, Junn had not found it in the jedi archives, Junn then thought to himself “I hope this means I’m still a good pilot, but I have heard that you don’t need to know everything about ships to be a good pilot.” Junn felt ashamed at himself for not understanding the question, he knew it was his fault and only his fault, he had only himself to blame and the only one it affected was himself, Junn then opened his mouth to say three words, and those words were “I don’t know.”

“It is simply a x1,” he said, his eyes staring boldly and plainly at the padawan. “Next questions. I sit inside the Minos cluster, between Pergitor and Aderlon, what am I?”

Junn then smirked for he knew this question; it had to do with piloting. It wasn't something to do with the engine; it was something to do with navigation. But yet Junn was still ashamed of himself for not knowing the question about the booster ring. Junn then said "You are Karideph." Junn stood proud and sure of his answer. He looked at Nor-Lek and awaited his answer towards Junn's answer.

"Well done. As you may know combat is an important part of a Jedi's life, what would an adversary need to do for you to draw your lightsaber against him?"

Junn didn't know if this was a question for his personal feelings towards this matter or if it was a test to see if he had truly studied at the jedi archives. Junn thought about it for a while, to others he would seem nervous and scared, for this was the only try in the nest few years that Junn might get to do the jedi knight trials. “They would have to hunt me down, like I’m some sport of some kind. They would have to out number me, and they would have to be stronger for me to spare no mercy. I would not kill them, but yet I would in some ways torture them. I would then turn them into the council for your final decision on if they should die or go to jail, or even be freed. But if they make me draw my lightsaber then they do not deserve to be set free or go to jail.”

*While Kael knew Master Kordin was running this test, he was concerned with one aspect of Junn's answer*
A part of your answer troubles me Junn. A Jedi never tortures anyone, prisoner or not, regardless of what their opponent has done to them.

“Torture? This answer is a disturbing one, what in your training has ever led you to believe torture is an acceptable practice,” he said, a worried look clutched on his face.

"Perhaps, your master has lost touch of the light side of the force, and does not believe highly in the Jedi teachings any more. Did he teach you to torture people?"

*Carith stayed quiet for the most part and finally spoke up when he heard of his teachings and not beleiving in the Code and Order*
"Masters i assure you i have taught nothing of torture,i promoted against it as a matter a fact,What he says is none of my doing,i taught him the ways of the Force and Took him to the archives to study upon the History of the Jedi,i never spoke of Tortureing anyone oly that it shouldnt happen"
*Carith eyed the Master he trusted most, the one he thought that trusted him,the one he believed was a Master of Light and Purity,Has Master Kyjar lost trust in Carith?....would he go to such extent to beleive that he is Falling from the path of the light?*
"Never,i would never fall away from the Path,i would not make the same Mistakes as Lu Kane in Defying the jedi Never"

"It is now obvious that Junn isn't ready to become a Jedi Knight yet. For more than a thousand generations we Jedi have been paladins of the commonweal, the guardians of freedom in the galaxy. We would never, under any circumstance torture another living being."

Junn then felt the pain of what he had said; he didn't know the masters would take it in that way. Junn then said calmly. “What I meant by torture was that they would want me to put pain on them. Taking them to the council would be torturing them; they would want to die instead of feel the guilt in front of a jedi.”

Nor-Lek stared sceptically at the padawan, “Master Bandora is of course correct, I suggest you give him further training on the academic a philosophical side of the Jedi Order, you are both dismissed.”
